Re: Adjustable power steering
Updating this thread... The power steering conversion has been a huge success, check out the video of it working... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7ee7QUp5z8 If enough interest is shown i am going to look into producing this as a bolt on kit. apart from the sound track in the background that is aw...

Re: Anyone running on Koni's & Eibachs? Or Konis & OEM Springs?
If it's roll that is your major concern, put a set of Whiteline ARBs on :thumleft: indeed, even with stock suspension (springs and shocks) a upgrade of the swaybars make a very much marked improvement on body roll and handling as a whole. a nice fat front one helps with turn in as well. but dont go...

Re: How to crank engine over without starting
the same way as when you want to bring up oil pressure on a new rebuilt engine before firing it up. remove the spark plugs , throttle wide open and turn the key. make sure your battery is fully charged since it's been sitting. it wont take long for oil pressure to build, so i never worry about diabl...

Re: a/c unit
you can use a na a/c compressor, you just have to change the pulley and valving unit from the old s/c one to the the na one (and vise versa). the actual compressor is that same. Except that UK spec NAs didn't have a/c  how about carolla's? you get them there. or anything with a 4age really.

i use universal 120 amp Bosch alternators in my aw11's. it isnt a direct swap though, a little mounting changes and wiring.

Re: pistonheads supercharger......
i'm running stock suspension apart from beefed up 22mm front sway bar and added a stock s/c rear sway bar (16mm?). handling is great. runs 17's as well. Just curious, what 22mm front bar are you running? The only one that I had been familiar with was the old Addco bar, which has been discontinued f...

Re: pistonheads supercharger......
indeed the aw11 sc auto was the fastest 0-30mph production car of the 80's. i own one and i love it. went reasonably impressive for a auto in standard boost i thought. whack a 175mm crank pulley and 120mm s/c pulley on it and it freaking screams. then put a t04 turbo on there as well for y...

Re: high wind noise from pass side above 50mph?
I get the same thing, Im almost certian its coming from behind the wing mirror right behind the tweeter. 2 of mine leak air here. and from others i've been in it's a common problem. over time the mirror mount squishes the rubber and leaves a small gap. i usualy stick a bit of one sided rubber there...

hahahaaaa... behave.
it's not a matter of right and wrong, it's a matter of the correct information being spread around internet when there is already IMO a lot of hearsay/incorrect etc. (what ever words, i am not a thesaurus) information on the internet.

Re: up-rated rear anti-roll bar
i like the 22mm on the front of the lil feral, turn in and overall body roll has greatly improved. though i think a 20mm/18mm would be better suited combined with better quality springs/shocks. i find even with the weight of the sub in the frunk it will understeer more than i would like on tight rad...

Re: how strong is a 4agze?
i still dont see what makes it easier. the only thing different with turbo'ing a AFM 4agze compared to a MAP one is having to run/make a pipe from the AFM to the turbo, otherwise it's exactly the same installation. a AFM 4agze will run a turbo straight away on stock management, and handle past 14psi...

Re: how strong is a 4agze?
the only thing that will kill a C52 prematurely is high rpm clutch dumps, a C52 is better suited to a 4agte engine than a heavy E51 is. back in 99 when i did my 4agze conversion on the feral, if i knew i was going to go turbo later on i would of just stuck with the original 4age/c52 combo and turbo'...
