Rogue sell the Radtech radiator, it's part of their chargecooler package but they will sell the radiator on it's own if you phone them up.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Upping boost rev 2 turbo outcome

Down the motorway it was fine and was boosting up to 1bar with a bit of a very short spike to 1.1bar at one point. The car was fine. I then hit the dual carriageway and boosted it again and the engine lost power and engine light came on then off. After that it wouldn't rev past 2k. I took it easy a...

Re: How functional is the X brace?

I've got TRD engine mounts all around. Not quite as sturdy as poly bushes but certainly stiffer. I take it clearance is quite tight so too much movement and it's likely to hit it? There's about 1cm of clearance at the closest point. I've actually got poly inserts rather than full polybushed mounts,...

Re: How functional is the X brace?

I love the design of the TRD brace. I have one myself which is currently off for powder coating. The only thing that concerns me is if I want to fit a GT4 charge cooler I may have to get rid as I have my doubts it will fit unless anyone knows the answer? I've got a ST205 chargercooler and TRD brace...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Sump plug spec?

It's M12 x 1.25. The Toyota Part number is 90341-12026, searching the internet for that part gives various pages that indicate that it's M12x1.25, for example: https://www.sard.co.jp/after_eng/produc ... ilter.html

Re: What is this Sensor? ? Switch ? ?

It's a valve that opens when the coolant temperature reaches a certain temperature, it's used to purge the charcoal canister. The part number is 90925-05068 You might find one in a scrap yard, it's used in loads of Toyota's from the early 90's: 12/1989-12/1995 TOYOTA STARLET EP8*,NP80 17-08:...

A leaking injector could also cause cold start issues.

Re: Rev3 Turbo lumpy on initial cold start

Engine coolant temp, inlet air temp and manifold air temp sensors all have an effect on cold start fuelling.

E1 & VF1 mentioned in the test procedure are terminals in the diagnostic connector in the engine bay.

Re: Failing emissions Test even with a replaced Cat? Diagnose?

Your HC, CO and Lambda exhaust readings all point to a rich mixture.

Normally that's due to a lambda sensor, air or coolant temperature sensor fault.

Even without a catalytic converter fitted, CO exhaust readings should be much lower, around 0.5%.

Re: Failing emissions Test even with a replaced Cat? Diagnose?

It's worth checking the lambda sensor first, http://mr2.ie/mr2/bgb/mk2/mechanical/34.html

If you have to replace the lambda sensor, get a Denso one, they're the OEM for Toyota. Same part as Toyota would sell but cheaper!

Re: MOT emissions testing - CAT/no CAT

many turbo owners have been able to use a loophole in the law that enabled them to have a non cat test, from this this year this loophole is closed as now any car originaly fitted with a cat now has to have a cat test, all turbos had a factory fitted cat, the new law can be seen in section 7 of the...

Re: Rev 3 turbo rev limit?

The standard Rev 3 ECU cuts the fuel injection above 7400rpm. The stock rev counter is a pretty crude device so it can be miles off the rev limit. There's a slim chance that your ECU has been 'overclocked' by changing the standard 16Mhz crystal for one of a higher frequency. This has the effect of r...
