hey forgot, if i remove the shaft from the diff will all the diff oil run out?
would i be better of splitting it on the car? have no oil too put back!
darn bits still aint turned up!!!
cheers shep, ive done cv's before its just i checked online an it said i would need a press??? guessing not! did yours sound like a few bolts had been thrown in the gearbox.... sounds terrible hoping its not the diff! :? thanks again shepp, got an ssqv in the end, still fiddling with that avcr plumb...
hey all, right i have a rev1 tubby with a nasty knocking when coasting sounds absolutly awful then it dissapperes under load. story so far... first of all this knock was occasionally happening before the wheelbearin issue... fitted new bearing. driveshaft nut kept loosening so i retightend (is that ...
im not sure the car came with loads of mods when i bought it 15 months ago, its just the fact it used to give an accurate rich reading an now it dont, that bothers me.... well occasionally/rarely it does read right but hey! something has changed since my boost prob! that said even when it was showin...
yea i did pm shep about it! was fine with the old diaphram re-circ valve, that valve even started getting quieter before the boost prob so the diaphram must have been splitting before! thinking its non-valve related, i think its electrical i.e sensor or damaged coil or ignitor... may be wrong! the f...
yea fine until the boost problem, it is a re-circ hks jobbie... most ppl agree its as good as the stock on rev1 an 2's! i've ordered a lamba now anyhow, only 15 knicker on ebay! anyones opinion on the situation so far is much appreciated, justin.
right fitted a new ssqv bov and its the same although the car did run spot on the other day for about 10min.... then ran stock lean again??? my mate reckons itr smells really rich, anyone reckon i should change the lamba next? cancelled the rr now, lack of funds due to old nick lol....
right i think ive made some progress; my diaphram in my dump valve is split, i took it apart! i plugged the vacume pipe bov and vacume side and went for a drive no change! came back done a diagnostic (no code) and re-attached the hose while running. then i noticed the guage doin funny stuff, so went...
hey my ecu injector resistors went, no engine codes drove me mad! not read the whole post but i had the same synptoms. i put another ecu in an it blew them in that too then the third ecu's stilll goin! got the ecu diagnosed and reconditioned by dave patric's in sittingbourne! jus a thought!
right she boosts :D woo! dunno what exactly but i fixed it all bar the lean running! what i did; burned off lamba with blowtorch refitted all pre turbo pipes un plugged vsv plug, the piping was off but when my engine was swapped they must have plugged it back in new spitfire leads, i hate too admit ...
Anyone? I really dont wanna do something that damages my beast? That link and others i've searched are not as clear as id like. Will the controller be ok if I only set the boost? Leave the rest on reset settings? Thanks for reading all.
Well as for the lamba I dont know what width, maybe its malfunctioning an tellin the ecu to do stuff? An telling it that the car is running leaner than it is, shot in the dark maybe lol. As for plugs, its had two sets. Three including the ones when it happened! What should the gaps be? I'll check em...
dunno how much its worth, you can get the seals from ebay or any specailist turbo company, try the phone book. about 80 pound if i remember rightly? i looked into it and although its surposed to be easy it was over my head, think the balancing is the hard part. only takes a little knock on the turbi...
