Thanks to Patrick Mortell and Rogue Motorsport

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Patrick and the team at Rogue. I bought a used set of Rev 6 headlights and needed some guidance and small bits. Nothing was too much trouble and I have now got a fully refurbed set waiting to be fitted over the holidays. I appreciate that Patrick had no gain or ...

Heat the panel up with a hairdryer for a few mins, then spray it with cO2 and it pops out :thumleft: I have a soft dent in the back passenger quarter just in front of the vent, I'll give this a try but is there anyway I can get hold of CO2 in small qua...

Re: MY TRACK CARS IN BITS & I CANT BE AR$ED IS IT JUS ME

It sounds like the initial novelty has worn off but the desire to still do the job is there. Do like the guys have said and take on one thing at a time and don't give yourself too hard a target to get them complete and enjoy it. Personally, I would make a list but I would cross each task off at a ti...

Re: Starting problems, powersteering issues

can't help on the starting issues sorry but the steering pump / assist does switch off if vehicle speed is zero and stationary for er some time lol. Basically if you roll to a stop at a red light then the other side goes then the green man comes on you can pretty much be certain the PAS will have t...

Re: polishing rear light cluster

Is it possible to get them really shiny with toothpaste alone?? Just lots of elbow grease?? I think the toothpaste is the first step and then you either need a second stage with a finer abrasive as Leon mentioned or finishing with AutoGlym or Silicon based polish to bring out the lustre. I only spe...

Re: Not driving the MR2

Anybody else not driven their car in like a month due to the persistant crappy weather? Mine aint been driven in nearly a month and brake discs have brownish rusty patches on them :( Going to have to brave the ice down our street and get her out for a blast I think, with plenty of braking :) Same h...

Re: polishing rear light cluster

I did mine last week with toothpaste and then a silicone spray. It took all the surface clouding off and came up shining. A week later, it still looks good.

Thanks for the tip guys

To be honest I find them no better at night, however im using bog standard bulbs. I'm wondering if id need to use some super brilliance etc bulbs to take advantage of the new fangled light design :? Very nice Steve

It says on the advert that the light pattern is generated by the reflector which allows the lens to be clear [as in modern cars] which makes good sense.

A good set Osram Nightbreakers in these mate and it'll be like driving in daylight :thumleft:

All credit to Rob's kit, everyone I've met says it is spot on and needs very little adjustment. Worth the extra pennies to save on the hassle of fitting.

Little update. I came back to the car today and noticed an envelope on the window. Basically the person that hit the car had come back and left their insurance details, so I shouldn't need to payout anything to get this sorted it seems. :) Nice one Steve and good on the other person for being so ho...

Consider garaged . Unsure of this Mike as I have just hired a garage to take mine off the road in C. London. Re: MR2 insurance

Depends mainly on postcode, some areas are a higher risk than others. Also, search around the isurance companies, you may hae chosen one that sets it's profile for new drivers in their 20s or believe it or not feamle drivers, as they are considered a lower risk  Also, a t-bar will make a diffe...
