You'd need to do it through a very heavy duty relay, 200amps or so. The run the wires to energise the coil to a switch on the dash. Would be better to break the red cable not the black. Don't have OEM lights, so can't help.
They do fit. It's only the mounting holes which COULD be a problem.

But that can be fixed with a extra screw, or some poly.
