Re: MOT failed on CO.

You need a lambda sensor in there mate, get a wideband kit and do it properly- that reading is way out, mapped too rich at idle? Can the PowerFC run closed loop? No idea to be honest. I can tell you the values on the PFC if you can make stuff out of that? When checking his site ( and cars tuned ) I...

Re: MOT failed on CO.

But the real question:

My car is a 1994, and a CAT isn't even mandatory.
How is it possible to get 6% CO?

Bad tuned?

Re: MOT failed on CO.

Here comes the catch: A normal (OEM) CAT won't fit due to the different (Caldina) turbo. Meaning I have to source a new turbo and CAT to fit, which will be a lot of work, taking also the oil-lines etc in consideration. But like I thought, a lambda wouldn't make a difference in this. And a CAT would ...

MOT failed on CO.

Went for a new MOT again, and the car failed on CO. Limit is 0.3%, my car had 6% :clown: Downpipe, 3" exhaust, no lambda, tuned and mapped with Apexi PFC (official tuner). Now, I know nothing about these values and emissions. So guys, your views on this? Mechanic said it was due to having no la...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Kill switch?

I have been looking into doing this for awhile now too, for security reasons as well as to stop my battery drain.. i use my mr2 for about 8 weeks a year, and not in one lump neither. My batteries are forever dying and i think its purely due to the alarm slowly draining it away. I did find a relay u...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Kill switch?

What makes you think my car gets any sunlight?

Besides, I'm wondering if such an charger will keep my battery strong with barely any sunlight.
It's been around 3 months since I drove my MR2.

(already bought 2 batteries within 1 year)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Kill switch?

You'd need to do it through a very heavy duty relay, 200amps or so. The run the wires to energise the coil to a switch on the dash. Would be better to break the red cable not the black. So from the back of the car? From the ignition coil? Why not just from the front at the battery? And why the red ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Kill switch?

Okay, because the MR2 isn't driven often, I always unbolt the black wire from the battery. This is 'a lot' off work every time. Open door (with key, because no power), open frunk, get spanner, bolt on wire, close, get in car : win And unbolting again after the ride, you get the idea. I was thinking ...

Even without the Photoshop I can tell you, it's a good decision, go for it!

All the (elementary) school kids already go "wow it's a Ferrari!" if they see me cruising by.
So no need for stupid tow hooks :clown:

IMO they look stupid, if you go for looks only.
Some long colored protruding metal thing, no way.

Re: Carbon headlight covers

Damage is only noticeable if you look very closely.
They might rattle, as is, fair enough.

Therefore the option to make an extra hole.

Anyhow, no one wants to offer on these?
I paid €100,- for these, so am going to make a loss on these anyways.

Re: Carbon headlight covers

Don't have OEM lights, so can't help.
They do fit. It's only the mounting holes which COULD be a problem.

But that can be fixed with a extra screw, or some poly.
The price is cheap enough?

Re: Modern Warfare 3

What's the deal with all those players named like ÌÍÓÉÙÌÈÈÍÚ and more like that. Is that just a language pack error? Or do they actually name themselves like that? They also talk like that ééèìùííé all the time. Highly annoying. It's an ingame something, so surely Activision is the one to implement/...
