Morning all and Happy New Year!
Not so happy here, just gone out to start the car and it wont start, its turning over and I can smell fuel.
Never had any such problems before except its a bit temperamental if its rained heavy and it was running fine yesterday??
Any ideas guys?
Thanks
Rob

[Mk2] [Turbo] A new noise!
Hi all! Get one thing sorted and another one crops up. When the revs reach a certain limit, I'm getting a loud 'growl' which I hadn't got before, it's not a nice one either, almost as if something is loose. Only happens at 3000 plus revs so I'm guessing it's not exhaust as it would be louder all the...

Re: Doesn't like the rain!
Not sure about that, is the king lead a sure fitment on the cap? Back to my bit anyway  I've took coil and igniter off (both in good nick), cleaned up contact points to body and it has greatly improved the situation but still feels like it is jumping a bit in the damp :| I'll try putting anoth...

From what I've read, they face inwards and down towards the transmission tunnel, as in the pic above.

Re: west midlands. bit of help request
Can I hijack this a little bit? My t-bar leaks a little in the rain so I've tried the coax trick and silicon method, the latter worked great but didn't seem to last. After reading this thread I ordered some of these yesterday and they arrived this morning. This may be a silly question but have I pu...

Re: Doesn't like the rain!
Still getting this stuttering in the damp, surely a coil should last longer than 12 months?!

Re: Wheeler Dealers
Anyone see the Skyline a few weeks ago? Nice change from the norm but the drifting scene isn't their game.
I'm not keen on their 'Grease' ad either lol.

Only thing I can think of if you have them installed is the stock amps in the door pillars maybe?

[Mk2] [Turbo] handbrake issue
Hi all, done the search but didn't bring up what I needed so here goes. I think the cable is seizing but not the pads, wheels are never hot after a run and always rolls nice and free, but there is always slack on the lever after releasing which slowly tightens. Is it just a case of err lubing ha ha ...

Re: Doesn't like the rain!
I've replaced dizzy cap and rotor arm today so will wait for the next downpour ha ha! Coil is only about 12 months old so surely can't be a culprit yet?! Had plugs out too, look good with a light brown darkening.

Doesn't like the rain!
Hi all, have recently developed a problem whereby the car wants to cut out if it's been raining. If it's really threw it down it won't start for a few minutes. All electrical/ignition bits have been changed in the last 12 to 18 months. Do i have a rain tray problem or would anyone have any other ide...

If you look behind the glove box under the carpet there is a grommet there somewhere.
