Re: Fuel Economy from a standard Rev 3 turbo?
Although not entirely standard
(don't think my mods will do too much to effect mpg) I get between 18 and 22 mpg.
But I only use it to go out for weekend thrashes, not a lot of motorway.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Long motorway runs see about 30 though.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Track days see less than 10.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best boost controller?
I have been reading this with great interest and after other research it seems the EVC6 or i-colour is the one to go for. I'm leaning towards the HKS but does the dual solenoid of the blitz really make a difference and if so, would that be a better choice? Not looking for lots of boost, prob 16 ish ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Snapped 3 manifold bolts while trying to replace turbo?
hi all, as the title says i snapped 3 bolts to bolt manifold to engine block. is there any way of sorting this out? If its any consolation, I did exactly this and decided to take the car to a pro before I made it undrivable. Not sure of the technique but Rogue managed to get all my snapped studs ou...

Re: Red Mk 2's, talk to me....
My red rev3 is as shiny now as when it was new. It had a respray in 2002 but since then has been garaged and always kept clean and waxed. I have averaged 5,000 miles a year since then and all is good. So......they're not all faded and they don't all fade! I recently had a new bumper and the new pain...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Blitz exhaust bung do any damage?
I have a genuine blitz bung that came with the exhaust. I think absolutely no problem using it, otherwise why would they provide it? It does quieten it a lot....and you will notice a loss of power. I only ever use it for the MOT. A mate uses his to be allowed to track the car at Bedford......no repe...

Rocker cover gasket
I have oily gunk (not much of it though) around where the rocker cover meets the engine, on the side underneath the BOV. So......do the gaskets just perish over time? Does it really matter? Will it get worse and then matter? Should I change it early? Is there anything else that could cause the mess ...

I have just inherited some Falken 452s.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

They seem to be pretty good, however, I had 225 eagle F1 on the rear and they hung on like a limpit.

Re: Brake caliper seized....but it isn't!
Ok, hopefully I'm not posting too prematurely, however, problem seems solved. When I last removed the piston (to replace the rubber seal and boots) I slightly roughened up the edge where the rubber covers. It's my view that this caused the rubber to split, dust to enter and piston to stick (rather t...

Re: Brake caliper seized....but it isn't!
Think I may have got to the bottom of this: One of the rubber boots over the piston has split (after 2000 miles!!). The undamaged booted piston extends and relaxes as it should, however, the one with the damaged boot will extend but not relax. So....not properly seized but enough to keep the pad aga...
