[Mk2] [NA] Water Leak
Hey I'm working on a mk2 that has sprung a leak. I have narrowed it down to this. It's coming from this area and only when the cars running. If I put my hand down in the area I can feel a small hole that the water is coming from. It feels like there is a screw that should be in it or something. Any ...

I traded it for a 2001 MGF.
The MK1 had a new problem every week.
So far the MG has been fine.
I do miss the mk1 though.

Cheap MK1
Hi everyone. I traded my mk1 a few weeks ago after doing loads of work to it. I decided I needed something a bit more modern. Anyway I got £850 on a trade in and I saw it on the forecourt of the garage at £950. It's now been reduced to £795 but the guy who owns the garage is good for a deal. It's a ...

Hi everyone I was wondering what the standard wheel weight for a MK1

Oil leak and Soft Brakes
Hi I reciently changed the oil and filter on my mk1. Since doing so I have noticed a slight oil leak after I turn the car off. It's not a constent leak I think its coming from the filter as the one I removed had a line of oil on it. In the box for the new filter was a plastic washer but I binned thi...

So whats everyones plans for 2009? Mines are. Sort out the suspension and rear calipers, Possibly 3sgte on the way and get the rear arches done although they are not so bad. On another note went to MrT and got an oil filter. The guy said they had two different lenghts and gave me the longer one as i...

Oil Filter Choice
Hey everyone Happy New Year. Just a quick question about oil filters. When in Halfords I noticed that the one for the Mk1 Is the same as the Mk2. Just jumped on ebay and was looking at this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLITZ-RACING-OIL-FILTER-TOYOTA-MR2-SW20_W0QQitemZ260340086519QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsP...

I got Halfords to mix me up some mica blue 8e3 a few months ago.
I just went in and asked for a can.
Cost me
£10 and it does the job.
Not quite a perfect match but close.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: Rustproofing hobby
Hi i'm in the process of doing the same.
I enjoy it aswell.
The interesting thing is that on removing some panels in the boot I found that someone had already treated the inside of the rear arches.
I think it can prolong the life of the car quite well if done correctly.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
