Re: Restoration and Respray (gets pic heavy)

That looks lovely. As usual I'll be different to everyone else and say that I think the wheel look fine. It would look even better in you painted the calipers white aswell. Well it's done in time for the Norwich Classic Vehicle Club Show on the 3rd of June so hope to see you there so that I'm not th...

Re: Heads up Supercharge on eBay

I understand Ollie but if you read through the thread it sounds like the regular group are talking about Harv as if he's not there. Anyway, just thought it sounded wrong and not in the normal spirit of our forum. I'm not looking for a fight, I just wanted Harv to feel part of the gang and not an awk...

A few manners go a long way.
Thanks for the heads up anyway Harv.

Re: Driveshaft/Gearbox Seals

I don't have any pics of the job but my experience was exactly that of mario's.
The only difference was that I hit the flange a little too hard and it shot out, hit the tyre and came back at me at a fair old rate of knots. #-o
Lets be careful out there!!!!

White 1a Costessey Norwich

Saw a white 1a C reg I think on the Sainsbury's roundabout in Costessey Norwich during last week.
It had a non standard front spoiler and "IMOC.co.uk" sticker one the back under the number plate.

Re: Speaker upgrade

I have an Alpine SWD-1600 under the drivers seat with Alpine sxe-1025s 4" speakers in the front and sxe-0825s 3.5" speakers in the rear. They are a direct fit and sound just fine. They do sound very tweeter like though if you switch off the active sub(SWD-1600)

Re: Interior Lighting

I fitted these in to give a little more light and life to the interior. It's not quite as harsh as it looks in the picture. The interior is infact blue but the light makes it look black.

Ah right ok. Stick some piccys up when you get round to doing it. At least you've got one though.
I may get one at the end of the year as a 40th birthday present to myself.

Re: Heater Hose Water Leak.

I had the thought of using plumbing parts today believe it or not. That is a neat job with that spring. It really is great this forum. I was really down hearted the other day when I pulled it all apart and finding out Mr T could no longer help but that is the fun of owning and old car and the good f...

Re: Heater Hose Water Leak.

Hi Peter, I went Mr T today and you are correct about them only selling the rubber pipes with the metals ones but never got as far as the price as the parts are no longer availible. So, your idea is to find a tight fitting spring, push it inside the pipe and create a kink free bend? Sounds li...

Heater Hose Water Leak.

Hi All, Today I decided to fix a water leak under our Mk1 and found it was the metal heater pipes. They have rotted through just where they join the rubber 90degree pipes. I have come up with the idea of cutting out the rotten metal piece and replacing it with a metal joiner and another piece of rub...
