Re: Barn find

Consider upgrading to the later calipers... they are better and use a bigger disc. Rev1 is still OK though :thumleft: Something to think about for the future I guess, I don't remember having too many issues with the brakes fitted but then I've not tried the bigger ones ! Fuel pump wise it would be ...

Re: Barn find

Fuel tank out and pump removed. Needs a new pump, any suggestions for something that will fit like the stock one and not cost an arm and a leg (Toyota) Underside of car is near perfect with just a few bolt heads with rust on them and all of the under tray bolts undid without issue. Whilst the tank i...

Re: Barn find

Car is back home and I have discovered a few issues, radiator looks knackered and whilst it appears to still hold coolant most of the cooling fins are broken off of the water channels. The fuel pump doesn't ! No fuel at the fuel rail and shorting the B+ Fp pins makes a spark but no pumping action ha...

Barn find

Sort of. Going to be digging my rev 1 Turbo out of very long storage, last driven 10 Years ago ! When it went into the garage it needed a replacement alternator but now I fear the list will be considerably longer. Last time I looked the interior was covered in mildew and the engine, not surprisingly...

Re: Cut out

If you are going to the trouble and expense of fitting performance cams then they should be timed to make power, not to help the engine idle better. Catcams typically have quite a lot of overlap and this will effect the idle vacuum. Expect the engine to run rich at idle because of this and upping th...

Re: Dizzy Talk

It's a distributor bolt. :| Yes it is until the aluminium threaded hole it goes into strips its thread because the bolt was over tightened then it becomes a total PITA. If it is under tightened you risk a loose distributor and possible random ignition timing with potential for engine damage. No rea...

Re: how can i stop the car from twitching when i hit redline

"Honda deliberately adds extra fuel after 8400 RPM (the stock S2000’s power peak) to drop the Air/Fuel Ratio down into the 10s. This artificially limits the power peak to 8400 RPM instead of the engine’s true peak flow potential at 8800 RPM – where 8-12 more horsepower is available. Honda does ...

Re: Big flatspot on Bluetop 4AGE- but I think I might have an idea

Starting with the ten switches, each one has an on/off mode and up is on. I will list the function of each switch numbered 1-10 even though they will be numbered 1-4 1-6 Starting at switch one. 1 Enable (off) or disable (on) Lambda input 2 Enable (on) Cusco ignition timing map (off)= standard map 3 ...
