Re: Whining noise coming from engine

yes on all counts !if they fitted it and somethings not right with it ,take it back .the cambelt itself and the cover are prime suspects :thumleft:

Re: Whining noise coming from engine

check the actual belt itself .can u smell a plasticy/rubbery smell ?sounds like the belt or pulley /gubbins is rubbing off the cambelt cover thats plastic.or the belt itself is getting shredded/rubbing off something 8)

Re: TVIS TVSV, What is the difference?

i would defo get a boost gauge -even a cheap one just to get a base reading if youve no idea what its running at re the t-vis -afaik it comes into effect at 4800 rpm and i think below this it closes some sort of port to give you more torque at sub 4800 revs .disabling the system will actually give y...

Re: Weather strips under windows - refurb

btw ,just take the screws out that hold the mirror in place and kinda fold it inside the car )itl still b attached by the loom to work it .dont try and take the actual weatherstrip off as the clips always break and its a nightmare .you dont have to take anything off apart from loosening the mirror ....

Re: TVIS TVSV, What is the difference?

what makes u think that theres no t-vis ?AFAIK its part of the engine and cant b taken off.it opens a valve at 4800 rpm(i think)and you really cant mess about with it ,i guess it could b disabled but for what ? re the t-vsv -what boost are u getting (rev 1-2 is diff from rev 3 +)disabling the t-vsv ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Clock and delimiter question - i have searched!

i dont know how the de-limiter works ,but it wont affect the steering just fit a de-limiter that screws to the back of the clocks bit4twos do one ,you can fit one to your standard 120mph clocks ,the needle will just go up to the stop and read the max(120 in this case)but the car will go past that (y...
