I picked up on something from a Hotrod program a while back. They commented on painting panels in the way they sit on the car. So wings, doors etc hanging, bootlid, bonnets laying flat. yeah ,this is really for metallic colours as the way the flake sits under the lacquer can change the way it looks...

autoglym intensive tar remover about £6 in halfords is pretty good :thumleft:

yeah richie pls post pics im doing the same thing at home as my existing homer set-up(thats foreignors to the english)has went boobs up .im not setting up on a grand scale just a wee (well 24*12)in my own garage for a few bits and pieces on my own car and poss a few friends if the jobs right .still ...

we use a 3m product but its the same really ,its a foam cord /string its actually called "trim lifting tape" :wink:

there shouldnt b rubbers that need replacing ,most of them can just b removed /cleaned up and replaced.if u arent getting the windscreen in/out run a peice of string under the rubber (lift the rubber with a plastic spreader or whatever and push the string in between the windscreen pillar and the gla...

wahae there me again richie howdo :mrgreen: :mrgreen: i would say if its a panel from the car its prob best to paint it lying flat if u can (less chance of runs this way and you can really leather the paint on so its gona flow really well.HOWEVER this way you have to make sure your gun will not drip...

i agree ,matt black is very cool BUT you have to do it properly ,by that i mean removing trim and not having masking edges and overspray on show .like the look though keep it clean and it looks brill :thumleft:

is this all fixed Jim? bit of a thread resurrection this . but yes ,its all good now allan ,16psi in every gear .i fitted the original spring (found it when vacumming the car) :roll: and once i fitted it i didnt horse the bolt up ,just hand tight ,and drove it to see if it made a diff .!"£$ me...

thanks guys ,i didnt think you could put u/l in thought it had to b super .will turn the boost down if i get stuck as iv got it at 16psi ,easy enough to adjust :thumleft:

if the tvsv hose is blocked then u will b able to run the boost u have set (1 bar)in all the gears .its really noticeable in 1st and 2nd .tbh if i was only getting the higher boost in 3,4,5 it wouldnt b worth doing .its really apparent away from the lights as most town stuff is 2-3 so higher boost a...

how can it b full throttle at 1500 rpm or whatever ?or do you mean flooring the throttle AT 1500/2000 or whatever :?
