Re: [Mk2] [NA] Identifying an import and rust protection
Hi easy way to spot an import is to look for the TOBELERONE side repeaters at the side of the nosecone uk cars have em set further up the wings. Your photo has tobelerones so its an import. Also all turbos are imports as they were never officially brought to europe.

Re: [All] [Generic] The modifying scene in decline?
good topic, it would be a pretty sorry modifying scene if all we had was the latest remap to compare. As long as the cars from the 90's golden era of JDM are still on the road we're still in business but as you say we're a "dying breed" and most of our rides are at least 10 yrs old now.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] oil consumption, sooty exhaust!
Hi my rev3 turbo has exactly the same symptoms water droplets n sooty black oil or unburnt fuel residue in the tail pipe. I think its just condensation from the exhaust sweating up from cold. The soot is the engine overfuelling Mr2 turbos are designed to run a bit rich so i'd just chill man. Unless ...

The blitz super sound dump valve is a great BOV loud and comes with interchangeable trumpets for different sounds! Its fully atmospheric though, no recirc pipe so may not suit rev1.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Safe ways of increasing horsepower
i have tip, may not give extra power but helps with charge temps: pull the plug out of the engine bay temp sensor (underside of engine cover) this puts the intercooler fan into fail safe mode, so it runs all the time, preventing the intercooler being heat soaked by the engine, resulting in cooler in...
