Re: 2 x 205/45 R16 Kumho V70A Trackday tyres

They're K90, though I'm not sure where you got 4 laps warm up from? I don't mention it in the article, and I'm pretty sure they were fine after half a lap, though as you say if the medium is working for your racing stick with that, these will be good for someone on a trackday. The chargecooler setup...

Re: 2 x 205/45 R16 Kumho V70A Trackday tyres

So are they the K60 or K90 compound? Why did they specify Hard :-k ? Seems a bit of overkill for the track? I assume they were destined to be put on the front of the car too? Well it doesn't really matter if it was front or back as the car is evenly balanced IMO. I use Medium all round usually What...

Re: 2 x 205/45 R16 Kumho V70A Trackday tyres

I do believe they're the hard compound, as advised by Kumho when they were supplying the tyres.

Can post, it's about £10 for 2 tyres.

Re: locked keys in car

Can anyone cut spare keys for these or does it have to be Toyota?

I remember my last MR2 I tried to have one cut and it would unlock the doors but not start the car.

Re: locked keys in car

Thanks for all the PM's everyone, and a big thanks to Luke at http://www.pacific-works.co.uk/ , after a bit of head scratching we realised that with the keys still in the ignition the easiest solution was to wind down the window :D

REV3 MR2 Turbo Track Car

With a heavy heart it’s time to sell my beloved MR2. I’ve literally spent more time fiddling with it (in a good way) than I have driving it thus this hasn’t been an easy decision. Originally purchased for trackdays, I started stripping it out as soon as I bought it. In the 4 years with me it’s been ...
