[Mk2 NA] Where to buy a decat pipe / front section

Sorry for the idiot question but i'm in rather urgent need of a front section as mine is blowing. I've a powerflow cat back system on, am i right in thinking i can just mate a standard decat pipe to it? I could get the joint welded but figure if i can find a cheap after market front section i may as...

Re: [Mk2 Generic] Adjusting side windows

I looked at doing this on my tintop as when the drivers side window was replaced it doesn't mate properly top left (from the outside) which results in annoying wind noise. The BGB made it look horribly complex and after speaking with someone who know's 2's very well, he agreed and told me it was a n...

Re: [Mk2 NA] Guess my tapping sound, win beer!

Turns out to be a split in one of the joins in the front section of the exhaust. Now, do i just get it welded or do i get a new front section (including decat as mine still has the cat).... hmm :)

DannyW on here has 235/40's on his 17's :)

But are they 7x17's or 7.5 or 8x17?

Re: [Mk2 NA] Guess my tapping sound, win beer!

Hmm, 2 beers? Only 36 hours away from finding out what's actually wrong. Couple more points, car may be running ever so slightly cool, by that i mean the temp guage is further below "just under half" than i'm used too, probably nothing. Also, checked out the coolant and it's a light shade ...

Re: Central Locking Again

Here's another odd story. I was playing around with my new mr2 and i found a little button under the gear gator attached to the blue LED. Went something like: As i got the car: Fob alarmed car Press the mystry button: fob locks doors, doesn't arm alarm :-k Random amount of pressing, holding, arming ...

Re: Rim/Tyre size???

I do get what you mean, and your %'s are correct. I thought i'd seen a 225/40 but i can't find one now... i'd rather go 225/45 and have it larger on the back.. i'm sure someone will correct me though.

Re: Rim/Tyre size???

Ive been talking to a lot of people regarding tyre sizes as the rim i want only comes in 7x17. My conclusion is you'll get a 225/40 and a 205/40, no where i've spoken too will put a 235 on a 7inch wide wheel. I've not spoken to many people about a 225/35 on the rear, i'm not sure what the 5% would d...

Re: GroupBuy : Stainless Steel induction shroud / heatshield

Count me in for whatever (as long as i'm not paying £130 for SS box). My oem airbox seems to be falling to bits and i want a k&n or somesuch (for the improved MPG you understand..) but don't want to feed it cold air.

[Mk2 NA] Guess my tapping sound, win beer!

I figure this would be a laugh, getting the car checked out friday by Rich at Blue Streak but until then it'd rest my mind to get some input from here. I'll buy the winner a drink at the next event we both attend \:D/ Right, this is as detailed as i can be with bullet points, try not to guess and sc...

I emailed the above guy form thor racing, the converter fits behind the dash and is a doddle to install, get your 160 dials and do it all at the same time :)

I had mine on ramps over the weekend, the oil filter looks like a tricky bast to get too from top or bottom, not sure which will be better.

Drivers side window leaks

My recently purchased MR2 (G-Limited) was broken into just before i collected it. The guy replaced the window (which was smashed) however the top right (ie nearest the boot) doens't seal properly and whistles while driving and leaks a tiny bit when i wash her. The glass is also getting scratched ins...

Re: eBay Reverse Glow Dials

I'm out of my depth as i thought the odometer and speed guage was run from the same converter. Obviously you can't straight swap the dials as it'll read all wonky, hopefully someone will chirp in with the right answers.... http://www.thor-racing.co.uk/Mechanical-185.asp is what you'll need i tihnk t...
