Re: Twin 4" exhausts

I've a twin 4" cat back customer powerflow system on mine which i'm thinking of selling as it's a bit too much for me. Sounds wonderful, just looks a little huge!

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] What make tyres!!!!

With tyres you generally get what you pay for. Anything from £50 to £150 a corner.

I'd not wear Nankangs as they're budget but then i'm a tyre snob and will only wear michelin, yokohama or pirellis as a rule.

Hurts my wallet that ](*,)

Re: Beat this for distance on £10 petrol!

As i'm doing 300 miles to £45 i'd love to know your secret! You should work out your average MPG sometime, fill her up, reset the trip then next time you fill her up you can work it out by how many miles you've done and how much you get in. Most n/a's seem to run around 32-35 over long runs, tubbys ...

While i've no idea about your pipe work I can tell you losing all brakes after pumping the pedel when the engine is stalled is fairly common, happens in my 2 and previous cars... i can't quite remember the thinking behind it though.

Re: This is debatable, air induction kits

Phil, i hope you don't get flamed for a good post. All valid points, but might i add toyota obviously have to design with noise levels in mind so cone filters are out. Stick one of those in, map the engine properly and i'm sure you could get a few more bhp as standard. That said, most people stick t...

It's also a heat protector, to stop the heat peeling ya paint under the hood....but that's just a minor point I guess now you've thrown it out.  Lets hope its just the paint facing the engine, not the exterior facing!! I've been wondering this. Always taken it off on previous cars but ...

Re: cooling fans

My G-Limited fires all the fans on full whack when i put the key in and turn, lasts about 30 seconds then stops. Not really worked out why.. or if it's normal. Once the car is started everything is how it should be (fans off, then slow, then fast)

Regassing is around £70 but i didn't think the engine would idle up if she was empty of gas as i thought there was a safety pressure cutoff...

I'm sure someone will correct me.

Google Zymol :)

Hard work, lots of money but the results (as long as you use the clay and feed before you wax) speak for themselves.

Re: [Mk2 NA] N/A'ers, what's your MPG? All, help me improve mine

Try http://www.mileagecalculator.co.uk/petrol.shtml and input your numbers. Tonight filled my 1995 N/A to the top and it cost me £31 @88.9p per litre having put approx 250 miles on the clock. That works out at 36 miles to the gallon. :-k 3100 / 88.9 = 34.87 litres 34.87 litres in uk gallons = 7.65 ...

Re: 18s

You lose a lot of tyrewall flex and the added shock of the air in the tyre when you go really low pro. Providing your dampers are soft enough (more than likely) imo the average driver won't notice that much difference on the limit wearing 18s, i'm sure someone will argue this though. The ride down r...

Re optimax, mine's an import thus meant to run on 100ron. I've run it on 95 and she didn't seem to like it.

Terminater..... that's about 150 miles a tank. You've either a lead right foot or something's up (maybe that lovely inside is really heavy)
