Re: Toyo R1R

This is interesting, now if only Toyo would return my emails I might be able to give Toyo some decent exposure given I'm number 1 on google for "Toyo R1R" but with very little information!

Out of interest, how much is a "lot of money". I don't mind giving my car up for a few weeks...

You can buy spreader plates and eyes from demon tweaks pretty cheaply.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] New Coilovers fitted - Clunking noise from front pasenger side

Luke pointed me to this thread (thanks!) I've the inverted version and they rattle and awful lot. I don't get any knocks that i've noticed, just a lot of rattling. If anyone is near me they're welcome to come and check mine out. I might give BC racing a call and get the replacement bottoms anyway (i...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Dash lights dimming when braking

Well, much as you probably don't want to, your best bet is probably to start by undoing what you did. Did the fault start happening IMMEDIATELY after you did your tinkering or is it just summat that's started now, after you did some rewiring a couple of months ago? If it's the latter the fault coul...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Dash lights dimming when braking

Thanks guys, that makes sense.

Now I get to go earth hunting! We did a bit of rewiring under the dash as the chargecooler pump is on the fog light circuit so perhaps we messed something up under there.

I suspect it might be a tricky one to find :(

[Mk2] [Generic] Dash lights dimming when braking

Hey all, Odd problem. When I brake my dash lights dim. My little turbo timer with a voltage read out can dip as low as 10v if my charge cooler pump, headlights and windscreen wipers are on (it's a bit like if you pull up both electric windows when they're already up, that sort of power drain.) Now i...

Re: Anyone want to become a Racing Driver?

My earlier post has been split.

Gutted I can't make this, water pump needs to be replaced so am doing the cambelt etc too. I use my mr2 about twice a year and when I do it just seems to cost me money!

Re: Water Pumps

Get Luke to get it in for you, he gets a trade discount from Toyota and they deliver parts to him next day (maybe not next day at the moment with the weather but certainly by Wednesday). Uh wait, I just thought about that. Presumably you need the water pump to drive it to Luke #-o I should be able ...

Re: Water Pumps

Unfortunately my water pumps leak has worsened somewhat since I last drove it (November) and once warm now squirts coolant all over the block.

:(

Anyone know the best place to get a replacement water pump (and cambelt while i'm there...)

Re: Anyone want to become a Racing Driver?

It's the driveby that's the issue. They've 4 lots of sensors around the track too so it's not a case of lifting in a certain point :(

Re: Anyone want to become a Racing Driver?

Patrick, If it's not a noisy day it's worth noting bedford are fairly strict with noise - worth getting anything much louder than stock checked out. I'll certainly be taking mine down before spending any money. Also, if you only have a normal seat / seatbelt in the passenger side does that mean you ...
