Skin,

Nope, just the V70a's so a swap is definitely in order. Want your feedback for the article.

I did get the handbook thanks. Also I made a load of changes to that article link i sent you so if you've not read it refresh the page first.

No backing out now Andy ;)

Would be good to swap tyres, still not done a trackday on these fabled V70a's I have to write about for the site so it will be good to get yours and simons feedback too.

Re: Donington Park - 7th August - Evening session - fast MR2s...

Will be driving up early afternoon from mine (north london), probably meeting at skinners (TBC depending on times) then off to the track.

Get booked Andy! What times are you running at Donny?

Re: Tyres, tyres, tyres...

I am not looking to get the "Fastest Possible" setup, just something that will be "fun" (very subjective, I know)... Then avoid the R888s. They're soft, they wear fast, they (still) overheat and aren't progressive. Fun, while being subjective is really just a nicely handling car...

Donington Park - 7th August - Evening session - fast MR2s...

Hey, There's an evening Donington session on 7th August (open pitlane) which should be quite fun. So far me and Simon are booked into it - we both have dedicated track MR2s and both know the place quite well so if you fancy coming and seeing how your car compares book in fast as places are going qui...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mk2 Turbo - sub 1100kg - No carbon - No glass fibre

Skinthespin, is there anywhere more acurate to weigh a car than a bridge at the local tip? 10% variation seems like an awfull lo when talking about these figures! Interested in what my fatty comes in at before it gets stripped properly... The tubby engine lid and boot lid, are the only panels I can...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mk2 Turbo - sub 1100kg - No carbon - No glass fibre

1/4 of a tank mate, I thought mine would be marginally lighter than yours, I have taken a lot more little bits off than you but you have mega light wheels and small brakes, hence all the stuff I said above about a 1000kg car. when you picking your 675 up? Potentially tomorrow. If martin is in the o...

How much fuel in the car mate? That's a good result, I was 1149 with almost 3/4 tank.

Try the EGear in the Gallardo SL - every gear change feels like it's going to shatter the drive train it's so vicious! I couldn't believe it.

Re: New M3

Mate has new v8 m3, I made a post about it somewhere. 10-125 (where my limiter kicks in) I probably gained about half a car on him.

You should try driving one though, they're in a different league dynamically. Amazing car considering it's a family saloon.

Re: Ideas on best tyres for wet track use

This might be (well, is!) cheeky to ask but I'd love to have a fuller track day type section of my site.

If anyone has a spare 2 minutes to write a quick review i'd be forever grateful.

Re: Recommended wheel setup

Hope I can meet up with you on a track sometime as I'd like to take you up on that offer as I won't be changing the R888's this year (well I'd be stupid to given the discount) but I am interested to see how different brands compare. Out of interesting how many miles would you expect other brands of...

Re: Ideas on best tyres for wet track use

Thanks for all the advice and recommendations - will be useful later but . . . . for now, my brother has gone off and bought a package of spare OZ rims and full wet Avon race tyres (didn't fancy the idea of a supposedly twitchy car in the wet without the traction control he's used to). Apparently a...

I've heard a lot of good about the rainsports in the dry too. Not Ultra high performance level like an MPS or S02 but for what they are they're great as they're quite soft.

Timeattacks were run on "race" (noisy) days so no sound limits enforced.
