Re: Gearbox fitting advice
Get a piece or rope, about the thickness of your finger is best and loop it through the gearbox mount holes then feed it through to the top so you can get hold it from above. Re: Hole in Chassis Leg
Yes it can be welded.
Dangerous to drive thats a matter of opinion, however it would fail an MOT.

Re: stupid hydraulics!
Why?
Its on the outside of the box so its not a problem if it fails and they arnt a common fault anyway.
Pointless task it woud seem, to me.

lol
I am not getting into a slanging match with you mate, its was £100 not £150.
You have disappointed me and other members on this forum.
Do what you want with the parts, 6you have probably damaged them intentionally so I dont want them back!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ct26 hybrid fitting to std rev1 help ???
Getting to know your turbo. Which one do I have? There are many ways to identify the turbo. You can look at the number stamped on the exhaust side of the turbo. 74010 for single entry ST165 All-trac 74020 for twin entry Ceramic CT26 74030 for twin entry Inconel CT26 74040 for twin entry Ceramic CT20...

Is the flap in the AFM stuck.
Try unplugging the AFM electrical plug connector and running it.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] help needed restoring a tubby
Hearing some funny things on this thread..... 18bar of boost, I'm letting go as a typo, unless you really did push 252 PSI through a CT26  I thought, but could be wrong on this, that the CT20 was steel, and the CT26 was ceramic (exhaust wheel only though), and I've never heard of anyone upgr...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Gearbox work. Possible?
Hi mate,
Once the box is off its fairly easy to take the casing off and then strip.
Also, I have a N/A casing available along with some other bits from a knackered box.
