Rev1 rev2

Look at the wheels 15" are from rev2. (Could have been swapped likely) Brakes harder to tell, but if they look dwarfed in the wheels then its a rev 1 and if they look like a nice fit inside the wheels then rev2. (Could have been swapped but unlikely) Gearstick, if it looks quite short and you c...

Seatbelt

The seat belt works with a ball bearing sitting in a cup, if you yank the seat belt it generally doesnt lock, but if the slam on your brakes the ball moves and locks the belt. Dont know if this helps, but to test them try slamming brakes on and the belt should lock, if not then they are knackered. C...

Hello mate pretty sure its on the back of pedal. :-k Get in to drivers seat with your head in the foot well and have a good nosey around the brake pedal you should see it. :) There should be a screw mechanism on it with a locked nut on the bottom side and an adjusting nut on the top side. Fuel gauge

Had the same problem when I fitted Lockwood dials to my car. It was the replacement blackouts on the back of the dials that where catching just at the bottom. Pull the needle off if you can and check nothing is catching, if thats not it then I`d go for a new or damaged sender, yours must be broke or...

Now you said it is from inside the car , then I may have a solution. £50 please if I`m right, tell me to shut it if I`m wrong please. The vent surround on the passenger side of my car used to do the same thing one of the plastic retainer clips was broke and it would move and click. Take it out or gl...

Overheating

Well that narrows it down then, if the fan is o.k and there are no blockages, then that just leaves the PVRV or thermostat. Cheap n easy!!

Good luck, Lewis.

temp sender

Honestly cant se it being that, worse case senario head gasket. Could be faulty water pump, pressure vavle relief valve, blockage, ignition timing, coolant fan not kicking in. If you can get you hands on a pressure valve relief valve from a mates car try that, but go for the cheap and simple first. ...

Overheating

If the car has been sat for a while it could possibly be the thermostat, if you remove it then refit the housing and the car no longer overheats then this will confirm.

Not sure however if would cause warning light.

Big end

Everybodies advice seems very sound mine is simple and to the point. Get a second hand engine from a reputable breaker or from someone on here. Swap your engine, then pull the damaged one to pieces and sell off parts, if not the complete thing. You will recoup most of what you payed for the replacem...

Gearlinkage

Try to have a look yourself, jack up the car or use ramps. Even a nice kerb is good to get near the linkages on the gearbox, just reverse the car onto the kerb. The linkages are on the exhaust downpipe side of the engine. If all the links are still connected could be inside the gearbox which isnt go...

Cold start injector

O.k mate had a look on the n/a I`m breaking and it just under the throttle body/intake right hand side as you look in from the left side of car.

Should be just under/near throttle sensor.

Hope this helps, I have a spare if you need one.

Plugs

Try leaving three of you old plugs in and testing each new one individually

Use the spark plug hole nearest the dizzy (no1 I think) :-k for easy of access. :)

Did this on my car to find one plug gap just a little out, makes all the difference. ](*,)

Re: Mechanical seatbelt pretensioner on early imports...

Cancel your order and dont panic mate 8)
The seatbelts work on a saucer and cup style mechanism, they are not supposed to lock up when you yank them.
Toyota are xxxx they tried the same with me and many others on here.
