Re: Revision 3 GTS Turbo (Bargain £2300 !)

If I had the the money I would buy this.

I'm £1000 short.

I'm just hoping you don't sell it before I get the cash together but that may take me a couple of months.

Re: REV 1 Turbo tin top--non runner

You also say that you started the engine recently. Is this basically a non ru...

I'm a little amused at the suggestion that an MR2 isn't reliable but a scooby is.

I'd have to agree. The old format was much better. It is annoying though when the title isn't very descriptive.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Oil Pump Options

As the title says really. Are there any options other than the standard oil pump? If so, what are they? Where can I get them? How much? Is it worth it? etc etc.

Cheers

Then I can only think that you have knocked a sensor or a wire whildt doing the oil change. It does seem rather strange.

But atleast its running good again now.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ENGINE IS POORLY, please look and see if you can suggest anything :-(

I would have thought that too much oil could have been more of a problem. If its above the max level it could have been getting pushed round the breather pipe to easily. This would cause the AFM to go silly which would cut boost.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ENGINE IS POORLY, please look and see if you can suggest anything :-(

You only did an oil change? Did you change the filter? Did you run any 'engine flush/cleaner' through? Did you touch any of the sensors on the block when you did the oil change? As mentioned, simply removing the sump plug and draining oil. Refitting the sump plug and then refilling with oil, should ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] 19mm Nut removal

I have already broke 2 ring spanners (its ok they are cheepies) this morning using a scaffold tube trying! That may be the problem! Use quality tools. It makes a huge difference. If you swing off that scaffold bar on a Halfords Professional or snap on ratchet then I'd be amazed if it broke. Make su...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] replacement part- where from?

Oh...and I just use little tie wraps to hold the hoses on to the connectors. No real pressure to worry about.
