seeing this at 1k is breaking me!! is there no way you can keep it. or at least break it for spares? it's got to be worth putting on axle stands in a garage and starting up every now and again and keeping hold of...?
well i have just bought another MR2, seems an expensive way of getting another set of lights but oh well.. lol. i will see what the condition of these lights are like, and if they aren't in good nick, i will try the sandpaper method stated above.
i will t-cut them, and try that. and then price up new items from toyota, and look for second hand ones if the new ones are too much. (knowing toyota, they will be!)
there are two other alternatives.. two types of revision 6 rear lights.. One is the afterburner style and the other is a fuller led style... The previous owner of my mr2 has tinted my tail lights and I don't like the look. I have tried cellulose thinners, White spirit and petrol but that paint is stubborn!
