[Mk2] [Turbo] Chargecooler Pump question...
Hi Guys, having now fitted a brand new and unused GT4 engine to my Rev 3 I'm in the process of plumbing in the Chargecooler. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/33093950/New%20Engine/DSCF1014.JPG (and yes I did paint the engine block before fitting it!) I've fitted a Radtec Pre Rad, and that's a sto...

With Greeny on that one - the number of teeth on the pump would only affect the tension?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Sills.... a sticky???
I'm trying to track down the templates used to make the metalwork shown in the photos earlier.
If I can find them I'm sure I can get them manufactured at a very competitive price

As I said I think that there are enough MR2s in need of sill repair to make the production of a kit worthwhile.
And once a kit was available - the actual cost of doing the fitting / welding work would come down too - hopefully!
Will contact MrTwo now

[Mk2] [Generic] Sills.... a sticky???
Hi all With the number of members we have registered on this site, and the number of 20 yr old cars we have, there must be enough of us now in need of sill repair to justify someone tooling up to make a full length repair sill for the MK2.... Any chance we could have a sticky on this site on the off...

I have a Fidenza flyhwheel fitted to my car. It does make a difference - the engine does pick up quicker, and it does accelerate quicker, but I would not have gone to the time and effort of fitting it if had I not had the engine out anyway. The Fidenza flywheel weighs 4kgs, - I believe the original ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] engine bay fan kit
I have one fitted - love it - but so that you know: The cons The fans do use a lot of electric, can't say how much but enough to put a load on the engine on tickover... They do come with a 40 amp relay though...:( A lot more rain can get into the engine when parked up.. :( The Pros They sound brill ...

Here is how I changed the valve stem seals without removing the head :) Go to Homebase and buy 5m of nylon rope - 8mm dia. Remove the spark plugs. Turn the engine over till one piston is at bottom dead center. Thread the rope into the cylinder through the spark plug hole, making sure you keep hold o...

Never heard of a garage that would recomend taking an engine out just to change shell bearings - not even Toyota. But the nice thing about technical discussion is that we are all entitled to our opiinion :) The last car I changed the bearings on has done at least 25,000 miles. If the shell bearings ...

If the the bottom end is knocking - and provided that you havent left it too long - then the chances are that all you need is a new set of big end and main bearings. Its possible to change these bearings with the engine in situ - the whole job can be done in an afternoon - I know I have done it to m...
