[All] [Generic] MOT & Interior

How much interior do you actually need for an MOT?

I've downloaded the MOT regs and can't seem to see anything specific.

I'm thinking about fully stripping the interior and building a custom dash with only the essentials for MOT/Racing.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Twin Turbo/Twin Charging

From delving a bit into the BW, I think you're right George. Also as they are significantly different in dimensions, they are not really a viable option.

I've been looking at the EFR range but can't work out if it's a waste of money?!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Twin Turbo/Twin Charging

I have a GT3076r 0.63 ar sat on my garage shelf. I only used it up to 1.2 bar on my old car, but found that I preferred the earlier spool. Would that be better than the 35r? I like the option of 550hp which I would lose with the gt30, but if I upped the boost on the gt30, I should get close to 500hp...

Re: [FINALIZED] Fibreglass doors - never fitted

I can't decide whether to go fully into weight loss on the MR2 and track it, or just buy a 'proper' track car.

Going to have to leave these for now as I don't have the time to get them painted/fitted, though I can see they are a bargain!

Definitely don't have the driver side spoiler wing, sorry.

All the rest of this went to the tip yesterday, a great weight has been lifted!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Twin Turbo/Twin Charging

As nice as that is, the price tag is a shade high for my budget

I have seen an SR3 that looks decent and it costs a lot less :)

Decided that I'm going to make the two a dedicated (non road legal) track car when the tax runs out in November.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Twin Turbo/Twin Charging

So who voted 'brilliant idea I want to help you do it cheap'? How can you help :) At the minute I'm thinking of leaving it alone. I've swapped the exhaust to the 'goose and need to get it on track again. If I can give it beans without bein pulled over for too much noise then I think that'll do. I've...

Definitely agree with this :). That is the crux of this thread really. I want more low down power.

I also have no ABS, proven by me skidding straight on at The Ump..... #-o

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Twin Turbo/Twin Charging

Was that in the wet? Maybe my traction control is doing more than I think because I wasn't getting much wheelspin on mine even when boosting... Though I didn't do much driving when the track was wet

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Twin Turbo/Twin Charging

Can i suggest spending the money on driver training and aero/handling mods instead of just aiming for more power ? Yes, all suggestions welcome, but not sure where to go in terms of handling mods. I have a few ideas on aero, but can't be ar$ed at the minute with them. I already have coilovers, whit...
