Re: [Mk2 Turbo] 1.3 bar rev 1

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] 1.3 bar rev 1
found a small split in the pipe going to the actuator. replaiced the pipe and now seams to be holding boost at 1 - 1.1 bar much prefer the car at 1.3 bar tho. the diffrence in speed seamed so much diffrent not just a bit quicker but a lot quicker. what mods would i need to run 1.3 on a rev 1?? are w...

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] 1.3 bar rev 1
hi
fcd was fitted because it was hitting fuel cut with the old turbo. at about .8 bar
and no, there deffinatly isnt a grainger or any other controller fitted.
if i bought a grainger valve could it be used to restrict boost?? i thought boost controllers only turned the boost up not down.

Re: Blowing exhaust!
no. it wont damage your turbo.
how bad is the hole? if its just small and you cant afford a new exhaust yet try some gun gum. ( exhaust repair gum ) it'll repair ur exhaust and should last you another few months.

Re: Exhaust removal...
its quite easy. just like you said.. undo the bolts and it comes off as for the front . the rear does lift high enough to get under without removing the front cone. obviously this is gonna depend on how low your front end is tho..mine is the standard bumper with a 35mm drop in suspention and i can d...

not drippng wet . but enough to wet your finger if you run it inside the pipes. and it isnt my crank breather cos that vents to atmosphere via a filter

Re: [Mk2 ] Tools for the head
when you take the cam cover off. look at the cams ( nearest to the cam gear side ) and there should be a place to put a open ended spanner onto the actual cam ( inside the head ) then use an open ended or socket on the cam gear nut. my cams and cam gears were factory marked for the timeing so there ...
