Go get training. Companies out there that specialise in teaching people how to drive sideways. Learn in a controlled environment, leave with new skills.in The heat of battle you do your natural reaction. Which is usually overcorrect. A 'silver' day with us and I'd have you drifting with confidence.

I don't think I've ever seen one fail! And if you've got it off the car and are doing the job properly,then of course check the tps!

It's not engine out, nor do you need to remove the mount.take off the hanger,and sometimes the brake vacuum line. Maybe even the ac idler pulley but didn't last time. simples.

Spark
You've said its fine with a little throttle, so when you are adding air. Answered your own question! As said above, iscv operation is your issue.
