Re: 1.2 Clio puts MR2 ownership in perspective!

I'm hoping we can afford the TDi as the torque from the diesel must make one hell of a difference. Scott =op Not that topic again! I suggest you try it and see. Don't forget to be fair with the revs - many diesels feel good until you realise that your "normal driving" is much nearer the p...

Re: 1.2 Clio puts MR2 ownership in perspective!

A few years ago, when I stopped having company cars, I went out and with my own money bought a 1.6 Primera (115ps). It was a little down on power after a Cavalier SRi (130ps), but I could put up with it, and I did get a consistent 40mpg which was nice. As age came along and the kids got bigger we de...

[All] [Generic] How to look after your alloys

This is a question, not an FAQ BTW. I've got a lump out of one of my wheels, looks as though something chucked a rock at it and it's chipped the lacquer. Before the corrosion goes too far and I need a full refurb, what should I treat it with?

Re: [All] [Generic] Some MORE PC advice please!

it will run xp fine mate. not bad value, you can always buy 2nd hand parts from flea bay and put it togehter yourself, but cant grumble for 60notes :D Personally I'd rather have a bit more RAM for XP. Probably be OK if all your doing is email and surfing - so long as not too much fancy stuff on the...

Nothing, but nothing sounds quite as good as a Rolls-Royce Merlin going past at 300Kts.

I just refilled. I felt a strange urge not to go to Tescos this time... so it's got BP for a change.

Daresay the tanks will all be clean in a week or two, it's the only one on my route to/from work that isn't a complete ripoff.

I have managed to get 120 miles out of 25 litres of 95 RON Tescos finest =D> This works out to be 21.8 mpg. Approximately about 19pence per mile on fuel, good lord, I feel poor  Is that any good? :-k Sounds pretty poor to me... but... my dead daily driver, which had an MPG meter, recorded und...

Re: [All] [Generic] Road tar

Andy I wanted to recommend petrol but then thought otherwise as it is coloured and the colourant will leave a streak in his paint work as it is white  Well like it says in 400000 pages in google (really!) always test in an inconspicuous area first... But I should have said. Is it really colou...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Reliability??NA or turbo

Yes, my N/A a little disappointing off the blocks but the car looks so good and handles so well on bends and roundabouts that I forgive it. "off the blocks" isn't where I'd say any MR2 was lacking. As I start on my 3rd set of tyres at 27000 miles I'm trying to do a bit less of that... and...
