Re: Play with a 360 Modena this morning
lol standard or even mildly tuned mr2, ofcourse its the ferrari. But a 500+bhp Pheonix powered or a very specially modded mr2 and I think i'd take the 2. Drove Ferraris and although they feel amazing, i'd rather have some reliability intead of replacing clutches every few k Driving pleasure doesn't...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Corner reflectors keep falling out!
I nut and bolted the main lights in, and then ran a cable tie through the reflector and into a secure point.
Then got them snuggly fitted and I wont lose one again. Will also be harder for the little thieves who knicked my last set after two days.

Re: [All] [Generic] The modifying scene in decline?
If anything though its getting easier to mod a car. I can buy a chip for my panda diesel and get another 20bhp for not a lot of outlay. Having extensively modified a number of cars myself however, I have come to the conclusion that modifying a car is generally not worth it. If you want a faster, be...

Different rolling roads with different operators will give wildly different figures.
The comparison is, unfortunately, absolutely worthless.

No
Yes.
Entirely depends on the turbo and the level of boost run though.
20 psi on a Garrett T34 and it'll be fine.
2.5 bar on a GT35 and it'll fall apart.

Re: Best trackday harness for a Mk2 ??
Personally I hate harnesses on standard seats, as they are not designed for them whatsoever. A few of us have no problems running harness on stock MK1 seats - they fit fine and hold you in much, much better than regular seatbelts. so much so, one of my mates has decided not to upgrade his seats to ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev2 suspension and differences.
Apparently, no-one on the other site is certain, but I'm trying to ascertain what is correct as far as suspension is concerned on the different revs. Now the way I understand it is this. UK cars all came with rebuildable struts with inserts. Rev1 Turbos came with rebuildable struts with inserts. Rev...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Which spoiler gives the most downforce?? Rev 1/2, rev3/4 or rev 5
Cheers guys!! But if i am looking for a track car setup, is it really wise o have no rear spoiler and nothing to push the back of the car down in the bends???? If you are talking about a track car setup, then I presume you will be running slicks, or as close to clicks as possible. If that is the ca...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Dump valve chatter
Well the biggest advantage over moving to the cold side is that the valve lasts longer!
The standard location isn't great as it's close to the turbo and can suffer.
There is also a good argument for being as near to the throttle body for beneficial throttle response as well.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Dump valve chatter
The sound they make is ultimately down to how the sound is amplified. I had the chatter on my last cossie and it was very VERY loud - exactly the same as this EFI RS Turbo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVvWpZJfzO4 The sound differs due to what type of air filter you use. My cossie had an enormous ...

Driving fast on wet greasy roads in a rwd car = knob heads Around by where i live your get alot of people driving like that and have ended up killing innocent people. So you stickered up your car with none of the Gumball sponsors, and then tagged on to the convoy?
