Re: Titanfall

So Battlefield, whilst good, offers up exactly the same gun-toting gameplay as in previous years, but Titanfall which does something genuinely new and different is the last-gen game of the two? :-k

I mean, fair play if you didn't enjoy it, but it's definitely a step forward in the FPS online genre.

Go to store and download it then, while it's still there!

It's really good fun, and that's coming from someone who hates CoD.

Re: Going to buy a facelift MK3

Do you still need to be aware of oval bores, precat failure, etc on the facelift? Oval bores no, precat failure yes as my first mk3 was one of only a handful of 03+ cars to have suffered from the issue. Twice as it happens: Once when I checked the precats after about 5K miles from new, then when I ...

Re: hello... this is all going to be very new for me

Smaller wheels + tyres = lighter car, better handling. Stay with the 15"s for an NA track car. :)

Re: a little hesitant

Short leads are pre-cat, long one is post-cat. Do stuff in this order: Run a can of 10K Boost through the engine. Disconnect battery for 30 mins, remove MAF and clean with carb cleaner, then re-connect battery. Go for a hard, fast blat. That should clear up the obvious. I had similar issues with min...

Re: hello... this is all going to be very new for me

So how stripped out shall I go It will be used on the road but not ofter and onlynfor fun.. Strip everything inside and under bonnet ;) Be careful with that. Like I say, mine is totally stripped (will get you some pics this weekend) and I now have to either wear ear defenders or noise-cancelling he...

Re: hello... this is all going to be very new for me

I'm running 195/50 and 215/50 888s. That's as close to stock sizes as I could get whilst maintaining the correct stagger, and the car handles very well in the limited amount of running I've had since having them fitted. Nicely balanced.

Re: hello... this is all going to be very new for me

If you're after power then stock air box + decent filter + markiii pipe is the best combo. If after noise, then induction kit is the solution. Bearing in mind the use of the car, you want to keep it as quiet as possible really. Weight for a pre-facelift car is 995kg they reckon. You can get a fair b...

Re: hello... this is all going to be very new for me

15" wheels and tyres will be lighter, so a much better choice for a non-FI mk3. If you're going to keep your 16"s, then I'd change the rears for wider ones. You need a 20mm stagger minimum, so either go 195 and 215 or 205 and 225, depending on the width of your wheels. The rollover protect...

Re: hello... this is all going to be very new for me

Bleeding the coolant is a nightmare, just get the end up as high as you possibly can. O2 sensors are about £50 new (I replaced mine the other day). Cage with a soft top is impossible if you ever want to use the soft top again. Cage with a hard top is much easier, but if you're running a hardtop you ...

Having to start from the back every. Single. Time.

The AI is atrocious too, it hasn't moved on in the slightest. It'll take the racing line and nowt else.

Re: Gran Turismo 6

So I got to play this today round a mate's house. Proper setup, Fanatec 911TT wheel, manual shifter, three pedal setup. Very nice. Anyway, the game. Graphics seemed very poor to me, however I'm coming from playing a lot of Forza 5 in the last few weeks so probably an unfair comparison. Day/night tra...

Re: Anyone know this mk3 turbo?

Exactly.. The Hass kits started out pretty crap but all the issues have been ironed out ;) The TTE kit may have been better from day 1 but I bet the Hass kit has a better/bigger turbo, bigger injectors and an intercooler/chargecooler... And its 2k less Trust me, there's still issues with that kit y...

Re: Playstation Now

Let's wait and see, shall we? On a 40meg connection, FEAR2 was laggy to the point of "I can't be ar$ed anymore" via OnLive, and the gfx were far from perfect. You would hope technology and the power of Sony can improve things, but let's not forget that Sony don't do programming and neither...

I quite like the support class, as while I'm crap at killing people I like firing big rockets at tanks

I'll go back to assault for a bit, thanks for the tips :thumleft:
