Re: ROCK BAND!!!

Yeah, especially when you get people who have no clue how to play the drums (me) attempting to play them, I looked more like a marching band drummer and it was making quite a bit of racket.

Ie withought hitting them with the power of Greyskull?

You can buy pads that you put on top of them to stop them clacking so much.

Looks like they wimped out a bit, only had it on easy whereas the tribute act had it on medium at least.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] MOMO Thunder Wheels

i was just saying i would have . I already have 8js with et35 on the rears and they appear sunk in. Yeah I appreciate that they're not going to sit flush with the wheelarch, but anything has got to be an improvement on the current set being 7js at the rear and at least an ET45 offset, if not higher...

Yeah but only someone with the worlds smallest willy is going to say that 3mm makes the world of difference, plus the general consensus seems to be to keep the offsets the same front and back.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] MOMO Thunder Wheels

Ordered them, decided to stick with the 38s for the front, although they won't fill the arches quite as nicely I won't have to worry about any rubbing if I lower it in the future, went for matching 38s at the rear. Will put up some pics when they eventually arrive.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] MOMO Thunder Wheels

Ok, quick update, Dave has said that I can get a set Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 instead. I've got a choice of the following offsets: Fronts: 7x17 ET25, ET38 or ET45 Rears: 8x17 ET35, ET38, ET40 or ET45 38 fronts and 35 rears? Or would the 25s be a better bet on the front? I could also go for a 9x17 ...

[Mk2] [Generic] MOMO Thunder Wheels

I've done plenty of searching on the wheel offset issue, but haven't come to anything concrete yet. Background is that my car is currently on 17" Wheels in a non-staggered fitment, pretty sure they're 7J, wider 205/40 at the front and 234/40 at the rear, was told when I took it along for the fi...

Re: GTA4 - I am moist with excitement!

You should probably all calm down, many phone calls have been made today asking if the games have actually been shipped out, but they're sat there on a pallet waiting until Monday to be picked up. The tracking numbers and so-on are all assigned waiting for the post office to pick them up. That agree...

Re: GTA4 - I am moist with excitement!

It does auto-track the car, you can just look around freely with the right stick, you can change the viewpoint to a cinematic one where it slows time down a-la Max Payne and you can see the car from various other viewpoints as if you were watching a Gran Turismo replay, quite why you'd want to I don...

Re: GTA4 - I am moist with excitement!

It's hard to stay hidden... There are gameplay vids popping up all over Youtube, some retailer in Australia has broken the embargo and shipped it out already, I'm gonna try and avoid watching them so I don't get any spoilers, but the vids are pretty easy to hunt down if you're quick and find them be...

In with keeping with the thread: stuff... I don't normally post on here, have the occasional lurk, but that post makes me compelled to hit the post button. He put up a later review after playing a finished copy of the game and upped his rating as several things in that review weren't in the final v...

Re: Anyone driven a AW11 with a 3S-GTE in the back?

Even once you'd stripped a MK2 down to the bare minimum I doubt you'd break the 1,000kg barrier, and you'd also have destroyed any sense of comfort from your daily driver.

Go the kitcar route and keep something cheap yet still fun as a daily driver, 205gti or an old CRX.

Re: Anyone driven a AW11 with a 3S-GTE in the back?

Why not get something like a fisher fury or similar kit-car, you say you've got a Xantia to pootle around in, you're not gonna get a much lighter car (furys weigh less than 500kg so quite a bit less than most 7-esque cars) They look better than the 7 types as it's a more conventional body and you ca...

It's also the fact that by speeding down the 2 mile stretch of road you're not really saving that much time, a couple of minutes tops, are those 2 minutes really worth your license?
