Re: [Mk2] [NA] My Car Won't Start!!!!!

Check the earth, run a lead (jump leads clamped together work) from your negative battery terminal to the starter motor, turn it over if it starts it will be a bad earth somewhere!

Hope that helps

A big thankyou goes out to Nathan and all of the lads down at Century in Kiddy for getting my motor back on the road. Not only did they do what i asked (swap an engine over and transplant bits from one to another, mine got a bit too hot #-o ), but they also had a good look over the motor and told me...

Its a rev 1 and maybe a uk car too.

Try these

I'd check all normal things such as HT leads , dissy cap, rotor arm, there is a thread in knowledge base for that. Otherwise timing may be out. for all paint workshops owners and workers. Book yourself on one of these and you don't get inspected for a year or two!

On the upside makes you aware of occupational diseases and what to do about it.

You get a nice buffet too! All for free!

Hope this helps?!

helps stop water getting towards engine parts (coil etc) obviously if coil gets wet you may have a problem running your car until it drys out.

Depends how many puddles you go through!

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Cambelt keeps slipping!! And i need a mechanic in or around shropshire

Further investigation leads to Damp in coil due to panel not being in place ](*,) , assumption of cambelt due to having just replaced it! No driving through rivers now! (hard when i live in shrewsbury and it floods!)

Cheers Guys all the same - Just the clutch to do now
