When installing my AE111 4AGZE into a mk1 I moved the sensor to the manifold and it runs fine

Try swapping the wheels to the front - if they are out of balance you'll then feel it through the steering.

Check the engine torque mounts - if they're knackered it could explain the jerkiness

Good point Mart, i'll ask him if he wantsa replica building, problem is i fear by the time labour is added on we will be way over £16k. If you can lift the nose of the car high enough you may be able to drop the front of the tank enough to get at the pump without disconnecting all the pipework

This - unless you're fitting carbs or ITBs or are doing other major mechanical mods to the engine there is no point replacing the stock ECU with an aftermarket one unless you just want to get rid of some money for no real gain

Most folks just pop a cone filter onto the throttle body (with a short extension pipe) and leave it at that. :-k That is pretty much the best idea, it gets more cold air supply in the bay than the sidevent can supply piped into the boot, no need to do anything else :thumleft: Or fit a cone filter i...

IIRC the ECU activates the SC clutch based on a combination of throttle position, manifold vacuum, and rpm.
