Re: Anyone have access to toyota part no's?

Doh, no longer available!

From the diagram above it appers there should be 3 springs (one internal, one to right, and one at front)....assuming i'm seeing that correctly

Does anyone have a pic of their catch, mine doesn't have the front spring present!

Really ot a fan of the bronze tint on my import.....front screen is clear though, so wondering how hard it'd be to change the little side and rear screen (i changed door glass before)?

Re: Frunk catch failure....any way in?!!

I'M IN!!! can you not put the headlights up and get your fingers under the bonnet that way? You may have to remove the plastic headlight shroud but that's easy enough ...this whilst someone else held lever in car open worked! Think catch needs to be set as low as poss in car, so there's some tension...

[Mk2] [Generic] Need a constant live for trickle charger

Got a solar trickle charger for my mr2, comes with cig lighter attachment, but obv cig lighter turns off with ignition.

Can't decide whether i should convert cog lighter to constant live, or run new (fused) cable through bulkhead to batt and connect charger to that.

Any opinions to help me decide?

Re: Frunk catch failure....any way in?!!

Now, i haven't checked the cable in the car is still attached, but from the feel of it when you try to operate it, its still pulling the cable. Catch was always stiff and had to get a finger round edge of bonnet to lift it, but had to remove it to change a/c condensor....i set it as high as possibl...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] front discs keep warping

The fact that the problem keeps coming back after a couple months suggests that you aren't bedding in the brakes correctly, or at all. If you do not bed them in correctly, you'll get an uneven transfer layer on the discs that will get worse with use as it builds unevenly. This will cause vibration....

Sorry to revive an old thread

But, can anyone point me in the direction of anywhere else to look for a condensor from the US? Best ebay is about £170 posted, none on amazon.
