saw a red one on ebay about 6 months ago, had a genuine 36k on it, and looked brand new in every shot, went for about £3500.

try registering on clubgti.com forum, a lot of vw guys have splits so will be able to point you in the right direction.

does that mean the BEAMS needs the cr*p revving out of it to go anywhere as well? (i appreciate the performance of a VTEC, on track, but for road use they're too much work IMO)

how would an insurance co value an import? obviously they ain't in parkers guide, so how do they do it?

no, i think he bought it off someone in the UK.

its totally standard apart from a dump valve (that'd have to come off), is a rev 2 j plater, 82k, 6 months tax/test, appears mint.

you'd have to declare it to your insurance as a modification....as you would with removing an airbag...and they're likely to bump up the premium as technically (in their eyes anyway) you're making the car more dangerous.
