Re: What length Alt belt (import rev3 n/a)

Wow, that was quick! Cheers guys!

I've been sent a 830mm one.....suspect there's enough adjustment in the alt tensioner though as its a mega long screw. Do you concure?

Is the discount to get it barelikely to be worth it considering the added hassle?

Re: Updating 20 year old suspension - on the cheap

On the cheap.....depends on your definition of cheap Can't see point in replacing with second hand stuff if you want it to feel refreshed! If it were me i'd go for the new toyota dampers option, esp at £65 a corner! (surprised they're that cheap). May be worth having a few quid spare for new top mou...

Re: Changing A Timing Belt - Can I call you for advice asap please

Good news is it's a non interference engine so it shouldn't have done any damage, it's not the worst belt change in the world to do, make sure you do the tensioner, pulleys and water pump as it's likely one of those seizing that's snapped the belt not just the belt itself expiring Are you sure? I'v...

Re: My speedo isnt reading right what can i do?

My speedo started reading much lower than it should have a few months ago, there was no scale to it, just random speed difference , I had to replace a couple of the capacitors in the back of the speedo. Now it's pretty much spot on even with 17" wheels. That sounds 'entertaining'! Mine have al...

Re: My speedo isnt reading right what can i do?

yep, and i'm fortunate enough to have one of those signs round the corner that shows your actual speed and it tied in with my GPS (and now my speedo) Peter - yes, you shouldn't need to fiddle with the needle, but reality in my experience is you may have to as either toyota setting it wrong (or someo...

Re: mr2 autotrader prices?!

Firstly....DON'T DO IT!!!

Yeah, they seem all over the places, i find it hard to believe anyone is paying £3k for rev2 n/a's.

Classifieds on here and ebay give a bit more idea of what they actual sell with i'd have thought. Pistonheads is another place to look at.

Re: My speedo isnt reading right what can i do?

Every MR2 ive had seems way off....so i decided to do something about it with my current one. This is how i did it, i was gonna use trial and error but got lucky and had it spot on straight away!)... - First check with GPS to see if its that far off (if only a few mph id leave it, but mine was 10 ou...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] More stereo woes

Looking at the wiring diagram, this seems to show two brown wires coming off the stereo: Wiring Diagram One of these seems to simply act as a ground point for the screen on the audio cables, and the other seems to be the signal cable for the rear left channel. But there doesn't seem to be a dedicat...

Re: rev4 turbo speedo issue

If you've had the needle off then it's out when you put it back on. I normally drive it at 30 get the mrs to hold the wheel and put the needle back on it's awkward but about the only way. i usually get it within 2-3mph upto 50 and around 5mph out at 70 which im happy with unnecesary to take that ri...
