Re: Tyre Suggestion and question about sidewalls.

I've always been fussy about my rear tyres and not fussy about fronts. Best tyres I had on the back were Bridgestone Potenza s03's which I don't think you can get anymore. Next best have been Toyo Proxes T1s's or T1R's on a 225/50/15. I've had other brands and have not been impressed. Have got Yokoh...

Re: Revision 5 BEAMS - NOW SOLD

How much are you looking for? I have an Mr2 I love but the paintwork is the better part of pink on a 97 P Plate. I live in Nantwich which isn't that far from you.

Re: Ebay Radiator any good?

I think I got one from here, had no problems so far touch wood. Except for the mechanic fitting it who seemed to deprive me of one of my cooling fans!! Have solved that problem now although my mate reckons the quality of them is quite low. I previously had my old radiator recored, but nearly cost me...

[Mk2] [NA] 10th Anniversary Model, Me thinks not?

I thought 10th anniversary models came out in 1996 and in the colours blue and silver with wooden steering wheel. Does this car fit this criteria(?) I think not. Surely this is clear miss selling? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1998-TOYOTA-MR2-GT-T-Bar-10th-Anniversary_W0QQitemZ280110986141QQihZ018QQcategory...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Are these tyres any good

Have had (Nasty Nangkangs) on my NA at front most of it's life and although a cheap tyre they last very well. Bought some new wheels with them on the back though and wouldn't trust them on the back, would have either Bridgestone Potenza's if you could still get them or the Toyo's which I've found to...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Insurance Quotes for NA's with mods

It doesn't help when the muppets you speak to don't know what your on about. I rang up to explain I had changed my side repeater indicators from orange to white. The response I got was you can't do that it's illegal!!! I then had to spend ages explaining that the lenses are white and the bulbs are o...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Insurance Quotes for NA's with mods

Thanks for the replies guys, most useful. I've tried a few more places and Elephant have quoted me £376.96 which seems a lot more reasonable so far. Will try a few others but looks more promising than it did.

[Mk2] [NA] Insurance Quotes for NA's with mods

Just had a quote for £560 insurance from Admiral for my 97 NA with an Apexi induction kit and Rev 5 wheels. Most other companies won't touch me does this sound right? Sounds very steep to me. Esure will quote for me but only after I give them the bhp difference the induction kit gives, which I don't...

Anyone tried Optimax 102? Saw it advertised at Goodwood Festival of Speed but only seems to be sold in 6 garages in England and they are all around London!!!!! Wondered if it made the difference they claim it does?

Re: Which Cheapish Tyres

Had Bridgestone Potenzas on rear when I bought the car which were the best tyres I had but have had nankang and Toyo's on since. not as good as Bridgestones obviously but a lot cheaper. Would not dare risk Nangkangs on the rear but no probs with Toyo T1's or T1'rs. Prefer the t1s but don''t think th...

Re: rev 5 wheels

I've just got a set of rev 5 wheels and tyres for 80 quid off ebay, need a refurb but seems to be a decent price? My only trouble is they have no centre caps, I've had a quote of 20 quid for the four from a scrappy, does that sound reasonable. I suspect Mr T would want that per centre cap, anyone kn...

Re: Little Bas*ards Stole my Indicators!!

Had the same thing happen to mine but luckily it happened at the toyota dealer before i bought the car. Some scrote nicked all the lights and smashed the drivers side window in the process so they couold access the boot to get at the rear lights. Still it was a good way of getting the price kncoked ...

Re: Why has the Toyota MR2 not evolved into the mk4?

I saw an article in Auto Express/Autocar? I think it was a month or two back about a part petrol part electric sports car to replace the Mr2 and Celica but have thrown the magazine away and can't find any evidence of it now online. But I have found the following which makes interesting reading and s...

Know ure Nuts!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry if I'm insulting anyone but does anyone know the Mr T part codes for the follwing parts, they are for a 97 NA 1) Bolts and threads? for Exhasut gasket that connects cat pipe to exhaust. 2) Bolts/Threads/Screws needed to fit a rear toyota strut brace. 3) Screw/Bolt/Thread for front undertray pa...

Re: Car part STOLEN!

Could look at the positives I got brand new lights fitted all round for no extra cost and managed to use it as a bartering tool to lower the price. Still the drivers side glass is totally scratched as they left some shards in the door frame which have scratched it everytime the window is lowered. Wo...

Re: Car part STOLEN!

It's not just docks where bits get nicked. My Rev 4 got broken into at a Toyota garage before I bought it, smashed front window and all the lights nicked!!! Looked a mess when I went to view it.
