Re: Engine balancing
you can (and should) also balance the clutch plate with the engine ...
Balance it without and then with .... on the second pass (with) material removal should only take place in the clutch plate

Re: BC Racing Coilovers Type BR
BC are loads better than Koni for track.
Probably a bit harsher for roads .....
I have the BC with their default spring setup and they are brilliant on track but when dialled down to "soft" still OK on normal roads

Re: 6 speed LSD Mk1 gearbox build
you can cruise with the 0.815 6th and 4.529 Final Drive but 70MPH is about 3.5 or 4K RPM....
I have driven it to work like that for about 1 month (60 miles a day)

Re: 6 speed LSD Mk1 gearbox build
Hi mate. Make sure you get the 6 speed box from a Celica and not from a Corolla, the Corolla has the same ratios but the gear linkage is facing the wrong way. In my view the ratios of the 190bhp engine (VVTLI) are better for performance reasons while the 140bhp engine (VVTI) might be better for fuel...

Re: Rally Car
Just found this comment by Paul Woods on another forum " Bear in mind mk1's have two different MC mounting patterns, either 2 bolt or 4 bolt fitting.... but it is just the Mk1a that has the two bolt fitting (mk2 has 4 bolt), so if you want to fit a mk2 MC to a mk1a you need to fit a mk1b servo ...

I have the MK2 MR2 (non-ABS) and it does a good job.
Regarding the final drive, let me know what they come up with and at what cost..... might be interested.

Re: Lauren's 4AGE build by Tom (Icunonsove)
excellent build
On my AE86 I have always put the engine and the box separated and then torqued them up once in place...
You have to lift the car off the ground a good bit to be able to put them in when they are stuck together ....
good one
