Re: MOT fail. no CAT!
Yeah I figured as much Peter. If I can find a cat am I going to have any compatibility problems with my mongoose exhaust?

MOT fail. no CAT!
No advisories whatsoever but the car failed its MOT as it seems is has no CAT and failed on emmisions. What am I looking at here? Get a cat 2nd hand? Wonder how it passed its MOT last year before it came into my hands ...

Re: Apex spring owners
So between the rear spring and the topmounts there should be some rubber?

Apex spring owners
Ok, my new Apex 30mm drop springs are knocking on the rear. Just had it up on the garages lift and the top of the spring can be pulled and pushed a few mm where it sits in the top mount, thus causing this shifting/knocking noise over mild bumps. Has anyone else had this problem? The mechanic, who ow...

Re: Rolling arches
Its definitely on the outside mate. I can see a slight scuffing on the tyre. More so on the drivers side though. Could there be some misalignment somewhere too?

Rolling arches
New knocking aside, it appears that my new wheels (et35, 8" front and 9" rear) and my recent Apex spring spring drop (35mm), are making my rear wheels catch my arches.
So, rolling arches? Is this my only choice? And if so, what exactly am I looking at?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] new springs knocking
Cheers mate, I'll do that. Also, is there anything else that might have suffered strain after everything was taken apart? Bumstops or ball joints etc?

[Mk2] [NA] new springs knocking
I got some new Apex springs put on this week, by a garage - not me. They're the 30mm drop ones, but now I'm getting a knocking over mild bumps but strangely not over harder ones. Other details: Standard Rev5 N/A dampers Front wheels - 8j, ET35 with 205/40/17's Rear wheels - 9j, ET35 with 245/40/17's...

Ben MR2
I'm not usually one to give praise to anywhere I buy from but the service I've had from Ben MR2 in the last couple of weeks has been second to none. Super fast delivery and no problems whatsoever.

Are they held on with those easily broken plastic snap pins or is there some crazy Japanese glue helping them to stick like shizen to a blanket?

I had one on my previous Rev3 and it just finished the car off nicely but suddenly I can't find them anywhere.
Doesn't help that the parts dept at my local Toyota dealership isn't open on the one day I have off a week either.
Anyone point me in the right direction?

Re: Rolling arches
Cheers guys. Picked up some stuff from Mark (GT Thunder) today which included some 35/40mm drop springs so I'll see how the rubbing goes after that. He said it could be on the inside so I'll see.
By the way, Marks a pleasure to deal with.

Rolling arches
As per title. Rolling the wheel arches. What does this involve exactly? Does it damage the paintwork and how expensive is it? My reason for asking is, since I put on my new wheels with an ET of 35 and a 9" rear, I've started to hear a slight scuffing when the suspension dips heavily. With plans...
