What an excellent video. Classy. Just made me appreciate my car a whole lot more.

Re: tyre profiles
Cheers Alex. Shame though.
I think I'll give the toyos a go. Been used to them over the last few years.

Re: tyre profiles
Nice looking tyres those Yoko's, out of my price range though for a full set. Seems they don't do the eagle F1's in a 215/40/17 though?

Re: tyre profiles
Damn Camskill was closed today after 1pm so I went round a few places and got a good quote for Toyo T1Rs 215/40/17 on the front and Toyo T1 Sports at 245/40/17 on the rear.
Not had any experience with the T1 Sports? Anyone got them?

Re: tyre profiles
Yeah I heard that too. Vredestiens are looking good though.
Anyone got any experience with Bridgestone Potenza S001's. £114 for 245/40/17's at Camskill.

Re: tyre profiles
Just been reading some reviews actually and they all sound good. The reviews on the Falkens are brilliant actually but there seems to be a lot here using them. I just want a set fitted for less than 500 quid that aren't going to try and kill me when I decide to pish the car a little.

Re: tyre profiles
Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta. Never heard of them but not too expensive and an interesting tread pattern. Any good?

Re: tyre profiles
Not really had any experience with Hankooks, might look into them. I'm pretty much expecting to have to spend shy of £500 on a full set but with winter coming you can't take chances. Whatever cheap crap is on the front of the car makes the nankangs on the back seem like they're made of glue!

What profile should you have on a 17" wheel to keep to the MR2's stars wheel/tyre height? Currently I have 245/40/17's on the rear but on a previous Rev3 I had 245/35/17's. Luckily I live near Camskill but they don't seem to do a 40 profile in T1R, only in a 35 at 245. Any opinions or guidance ...

I had a set of these on an old Rev3, took them off and threw them out. Wish I hadn't now

Removing rear light tint
When I bought the car the previous owner had tinted the rear lights black. Its not to my taste as I like the quad rear lights. I've tried removing it with some tint spray I previously had for another car, as per the cans instructions but to no avail. I then tried meths which hasn't shifted it either...

More N/A power
What's the beat way of squeezing a little more power out of a standard N/A engine. Air filter, tuning? Shedding weight isn't an option, I like my luxuries a little too much.
Currently running a standard rev5 engine at 75k with a mongoose exhaust.
Please, no 'buy a turbo' answers lol.

Re: Really really bad fuel consumption
Ghost It is very inaccurate to work out fuel economy based on how far a car goes on 20 quid of fuel or without filling the tank. A much more accurate way is to fill the car up (and zero the trip meter), and fill the car up again when the gauge gets low (one or two small lines above empty, or earlie...

Re: Really really bad fuel consumption
Hell, that's bad. I'm getting around 90 miles on a twenty pound note which takes the needle to just over a quarter tank on my N/A and I thought that was terrible.
Is it just that petrol has gone up so much in price? 5 years ago I was getting 150 miles on a twenty in my old Rev3.
