Re: [FINALIZED] 92 Mk2 Rev2 GTS Turbo - Added Photos
Even if you're not interested could someone let me know what it is worth? I realise it has no MOT and will need trailering.
Essentially I don't want to stubbornly hold out for an unreasonable price - but at the same time I don't want to just give it away!

92 Mk2 Rev2 GTS Turbo - Added Photos
After being forced to buy a more 'sensible' family car I am putting my MR2 up for sale - note that I'm based in Twickenham, TW2. Details Model: 1992 Mk2 GTS (tintop, not T-Bar), J-Reg Colour: Black Mileage: ~120,000 on the clock (if i remember correctly) - but the first 110,000 of that was in km - s...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] insurance
I'm with sky insurance, good price, good service and seem to know what they're talking about - Give them a go... same, nice to speak to people who knows about modifications for once.... Again - I'm now with Sky. Went from nearly 1800 per year to 600! Not too shabby! Plus the guys knew what they wer...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] rear wheels - 17x8 et35 vs 17x9 et29
I've done a similar thing - put 245/40's on the rear. To be honest - I'm not too fussed with what equates to a max of about 3% difference in speedo reading. My km->miles converter and the removed and replaced needles during dial fitting are probably worse than that!

[Mk2] [Generic] wheel width help
Hi all, I'm currently running 18x7.5 Oxigin 1 alloys - but one of them has recently been badly damaged on a pot hole  So now I'm on the look out for a new set of wheels - and whilst I'm at it, I'm thinking of dropping down to 17's as the 18's are incredibly heavy, and I'm generally finding the...

Hmm... I thought that the 3S-GTE engines were non-interferring?

Re: Search
The reason you get so many posts is that (by default) the search function is matching the characters "LPG" in all topic titles AND the body of the posts. When I'm searching for something I tend to use several key words and then click on "Search for all terms" as this narrows it d...

Apexi Hayabusa - bloody loud without the bung in! But incredibly light!
Not a particularly good pic though - I think the can is a bit dirty!

Yeah, sorry, that was my point - your description was a bit conflicting
It read like you had a UK N/A which was also a Turbo.

Re: wheres my alarm
I think alarms are "usually" installed near the battery - so that should at least narrow it down to the front trunk if it's a mk2 (sorry - I don't know where the battery is on a mk1 ).
For instance, mine is installed just behind the driver's side headlamp.

Re: speedo facia question
I don't think that setting your needle to zero at stationary is the best way to set the needle. I seem to recall that my needle wasn't set properly until I made several runs at 30 MPH behind a mate's car and kept stopping and tweaking the needle position until it was right at that speed. I think tha...

"N/A UK Rev 2 Tubby" ?
That's an interesting one!
When you say you "told him about the relay in the frunk" do you mean to say that he's tried the relay trick of flicking the key to Acc position and back again about 20 times? (to try and un-stick it)?

Re: Falken Tyres!
Sorry to hi-jack the thread, but I noticed that someone earlier mentioned you can buy the tyres online... I take it you then have to take the new tyre and wheel to your local garage to get 'em fitted - how much do garages normally charge for this? Do they get arsy about you not buying from them?

Re: Another "guess that engine noise" question
Cheers for the suggestions! I'm pretty sure it isn't a belt-related problem as its definitely not the normal squealing noise I'd associate with that... I'll have a look at the waterpump and driveshaft this weekend, but in the meantime I have some more info if it helps. I was stuck in a traffic jam t...

Re: SpeedHut Dials
I guess it depends on which control box you get as the uprated one is purposely a lot smaller. I got the uprated one and asked this very same question a few weeks ago:

I've now stuck mine on the side of the steering column.
