Re: running an evo / scooby

I know this is a bit of a revival, but i had a UK spec scooby last year that was running a proven 310 brake. Fuel wise, i got just under 300 miles out of a tank on a long run, i was doing 50 - 60 mph most of the time though. Performance wise, it would annihilate any mr2 i have come across, they wer...

Re: running an evo / scooby

erm, not to sure to be honest mate, yes it could have been, but i have been in many quicker cars than that evo 4, it was the handling and grip that really impressed me, i had a 420bhp rwd sapphire cossie, had it about a year, engine went bang within the 1st month, melted piston, then spent the rest ...

Re: running an evo / scooby

I've been lookin at Evo 4's for a while seem to be going for sub 4k now has anyone had one? would i be dissapointed compared to an Mr2 turbo? i drove an evo 4 back from santa pod one year, i had a williams back then, lets just say, I WANTED ONE, BIG TIME, the handling/grip was unreal, and 4's aren'...

Re: running an evo / scooby

bill - will be a shame to let your MR2 go I'd imagine. An absolutely stunning example in my opinion and the buyer will be one lucky sod... Cheers bud, it is a stunner, and i will miss it, keep thinking, shall i just buy a run around and keep the tubby, but its 2 lots of insurance/tax/mots etc etc, ...

Re: running an evo / scooby

How many miles a year do you do? If you're doing 12k + it's gonna cost you a bomb. If like me, you do about 5k tops, it's not gonna make much of a difference. My tubby once got 250 miles to a full tank, I'm pretty sure mine (rev2) only had 45 litres as well?! It was dreadful on fuel. If you can get...

Re: running an evo / scooby

apparently the regular servicings can be had for between 120-150 quid, which ain't to bad, i imagine the dealers will charge a hell of a lot more than that mind, i will get onto chris knott this week for a quote, as a comparison against the mr2, i think i might be a bit out of my league with the run...

running an evo / scooby

Has anyone had experiences of running an evo after an mr2 turbo, or even before, i fear that i am on limited time with my mr2, with already having a 10 month old baby and no doubt there will be another on the way soon enough  so there is no way i could get away with the mr2 then, i'm doing we...

Re: Clio

They're quite different from any modern hot hatch . No crumple zones, no impact bars, no airbags. A chap I know was very lucky to survive a 30mph accident in one once. He shattered his leg and broke his pelvis. What was wrong with the gearbox? I had the 16v and had no problems with it. modern day h...
