If you are using the car as your daily driver then get a spare set of bulbs. The MR2 book by Long has the colour referred to as Monochrome Black Metallic. The paint code is 204 I think. It is 204... whereas my mk1 looks a slightly grey/black if that makes sense? Any performance gain is negligible IMO however I did notice a throttle reposne improvement. With the standard 1a system fitted there seemed to be a slight delay in response which went away when the cone filter was fitted. I have no experience of the stqndard 1b system to coimpare with though.
