Re: Correcting a spin / tailslide anyone managed it?

I've had my tail end kick out unexpectedly before, was going for an overtake at the time, scared the sh*t out of me and no doubt the car behind and to the side. Fortunately I managed to catch mine. I wasn't going very fast at the time so was much easier. However as it was completely unexpected and c...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Snobbery

It's like with any car that falls into the MR2 price bracket (which isn't exactly high). You will get all type's of people owning them: The young boyracer because it's cheap, sporty and the school girls love it The Mature owner who respects what it is, and appreciates it The More Mature Owner who do...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Border Bonnet

The only problem with a CF bumper/bodykit is that it's got to be a perfect fit as it's not the easiest thing to adjust (like Fibreglass). I'd love a CF bodykit.... but 2 things pop to mind... 1) How much weight would you really save for the money? i.e. you probably could spend the money on engine mo...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] List of modifications for Turbo and N/A MK2's

with a 2k budget you'll be lucky to get a worth while turbo... IMO and with an N/A you'd need to spend more money than it's worth to see 240... again that is my opinion. However for 2k you can get a pretty decent N/A and the 170bhp version does hold it's own. However as said above, once you sample b...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] polishing chrome help

Gav, whilst your here (in virtual form anyway :D ) I was looking earlier at all the stuff you polished up.. great work by the way. Just wondered a few things 1) What Polish do you use and where from? 2) What engine components can be done.. or can you pretty much do everything? Sorry for jumping in t...

Re: Importing a tubby, still not worth it?

Newera imports are the guys you want to speak to.

Mate of mine has used them for 2 of his imports and found them second to none in sourcing exactly what he wanted..... yes, he did have to pay that bit more but it's not cheap to import and it's worth the wait and money.

Re: Brake fluid 5.1 worth it?

i personally wouldn't

Dot 3-4 are pretty much compatable with each other, DOT 5 can pottentially cause problems on older brake systems as it's petrolium based i believe.

Cheers,

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] gauge fitting

The easiest way for the oil temp would be to by a sandwich plate which sits in-between the oil filter and block. However as much as i rate this way, it depends on where your oil filter is. On My old Rev1 it was located under the manifold, despite me wiring it up carefully and wrapping it in protecti...
