Sounds like the rocker cover they leak like buggers, the gasket is a two piece gasket, I changed my N/A gasket a few months ago cost is around 20-30 quid for the gasket.
Easy job to do. Should be a write up in the knowlage base, if not give me a shout

ok checked for error code came up with 24 wich is the air temp sensor in the filter box, so just to be sure I reset the ecu, run the car and then checked again no error codes, car is now idling between 1000 rpm to 1200 better but not good enough. Cant see it being the alarm, as the car coughs and splutters, if the imobilisor was on it wont do anything bar alowing you to crank the engine over and not fire. But if you think it may be in conjunction with the alarm or need the wire diagrams for the rev2 tubby I got it, can send you a copy

Done the little screw on top of the throttle body was open a little so closed all the way clockwise brought the revs down 100 to 200 rpm or so but still around 1300 rpm, by the way it does jump to around 2000 rpm when cold and drops down once warm.
