pretty easy to bleed the clutch.. remove the engine undertray then look up at the back end of gearbox nearest firewall, pretty much level where the transmission/engine block meets. you should see an engune mount with a single pipe going just over it and then 2 pipes coming out of that assembly.. the...
klk, will try quickly bleeding the system, see if it helps. tried to manually move the release arm by prising it but was bloody hard to shift it at all. will try and get pic taken, having a bad week at the moment as the missus's focus's crankshaft has just decided to go on a wander and chew up the b...
Hey guys, been awhile since ive needed to post anything which is good in a way ;) . Got a wee problem with my rev1 n/a. was parked up on a verge a few weeks back to help my brother who had broken down. i gently drove off but the kerb was obv higher than i thought and it made a nice clunking noise as...
i bought a tubby in november, which has the above mentioned boost controller fitted. it was only driven for a week then serviced and garaged for the winter.. with the weather hopefully warming up im goin to be driving it, but i havnt got a manual for the controller so i havnt got the foggiest how to...
dude, that really sucks... know what you mean tho. have had to work the last 2 days. snow here is really nasty. luckily ive garaged my tubby for the winter and am driving my n/a, but is still damn treacherous. Back end has let go quite a few times, but its not possible to go above 20mph anyway so ha...

hey guys, just wondering if you knowledgable chaps could enlighten me on the differences between the rev 1 and rev 2 turbos, regarding engine differences/turbo? and body changes..
cheers. How can i tell which engine is which?
np dude.. il se if i can dig the pics out from when i replaced engine in the summer. tbh the hardest part was getting the damn car high enough to get the engine out underneath. .. make sure u label the bolts and stuff as u remove them.. specially when u drop the subframe and suspension.. and the gea...
ah.. choices bloody choices.. . all im really interested in is future tunability.. styling isnt too much of a factor really .. Looking at starting with a good base to build some fairly serious power.. at the moment ive just finished working on a mustang with my father in the states.. goddamn beast!!...
yeh i did it on my rev1 na. u just need to unbolt it.. 3 bolts if i remem correctly.. one from above.. 2 i got from underneath.. :-k .. then there was a lead or 2 to disconnect..then i just tied it up close to the bulkhead, and droppped the engine out.. its a tight fit so be careful but mine came ou...
ok, so im finally on the lookout for a rev 3 tubby :D . just wondering what the differences between the models are. eg. gt/gts etc . also whats the major differences between rev2 and 3 tubbies.. ive figured that the rev 3 has more bhp and tuning potential, which tbh is the deciding factor in choosin...
the rev 1 na also came with 3sge engine .. 158 bhp.. not just the 5sfe.. the only rev 1 car to come with the 3sfe was the uk coupe.. which had no spoiler if i remem correct. correct me if im wrong tho. rev 1 n/a has 14" wheels and tiny brakes, which on rev 2 were upgraded to 15" and better...

ok cheers guys. one more thing.. ive seen some nankang tyres quite cheap.. but on quite a few posts ive read, people slate the hell out of em. Are they really that bad? ive owned quite a few rear wheel drive cars with big engines, so i know how twitchy they get during the winter months so i do tend ...
