Re: kayjay's MK3 project

Other projects wil include Getting a facelift front bumper ( if the lip will fit on to it) The facelift front bumper has a two-piece front lip rather than the pre facelift single piece. Although I've not tried it I don't think your current lip will fit a face lift bumper. :-k http://www.octanemotor...

Dude, sounds incredibly stupid but you ARE turning it the right way aren't you?

I've made this mistake at least once that's all.

Ahh, my old car.

Not keen on the wheel choice, much prefer the Blitz wheels I had on it.

Good grief, I can hardly believe the video footage uploaded to youtube of the incident this evening.

I wish Andrei the very best for a quick recovery.

It won't be for at least a couple of months or so buddy.
Need to spend some pennies on the car. New clutch and a handful of other items too before it sees use again.

Re: REV3 Turbo on track *advice please*

Rowland, Is your GT running stock engine management? As you know, Toyota dials in more fuel to keep things safe and a bit cooler. Yes there is a lot of additional power to be had from leaning off - but that's typically where others have melted pistons etc. Stock ECU, Apexi AVCR with boost A&B s...

Re: lightest mr2

I've got a lightweight stripped out mk3 running a mk2 3SGTE engine and that's around 1030kg's with no driver and quarter of a tank of fuel.
Removing the full roll cage would see it sub 1000kg's.

Re: REV3 Turbo on track *advice please*

Cooling seems to be the key when tracking the 3SGTE.
Do you have gauges in place to monitor oil/coolent temps etc?
From racing in the Super GT series most if not all drivers, myself included, have suffered with overheating issues when running a 3SGTE at ten tenths.

[Part 2] Well it's been a few weeks since I've been over to see progression on the car, and this weekend I wasn't disappointed with what met my eyes! My 3SGTE powered MR-S Super GT car was awaiting me and was looking like a race car! The engine looked happy in it's new home and with an effortless fl...

Mk3 MR-S 3SGTE 2010 Super Gt Race car build

[Part 1] Hi all, On the back of completing a couple of seasons racing in a mk2 MR2 2007-2008 and more recently a mk3 in 2009, my attention towards the end of last year was becoming ever more focussed on the new Super GT series and the challenge of racing a more highly tuned MR2 be it mk2 or mk3.
