Re: Car Advice

ps. I find the acoustics better in the tintop if you like your music. Also, for when the UK is more UK-like, it a warmer place to be too.

Re: Car Advice

Ive had both a T-Bar tubby and now have a tintop tubby. Yes, the T-Bar is a very attractive feature. All teh comments about leaks etc are completely unwarranted. People ahev to realise were dealing with cars wich in some case are 21 years old. Rubber, after so long, will become brittle and less seal...

Re: REV 1 to REV 3 Conversion

Like the above says, its not worth it unless youre going for a standalone but then you opena whole can of worms if youre going big power. You'll need a better turbo, which will in turn require better fuelling, which will in turn require better control adn so on. However, even if you did decide to go...

This car was built a good while back. Several racers used this configuration too. The car saves shed load of weight and the weight distribution is far better too.

Well thats good news. An MR2 saved from the crusher! Must admit, I do really want to know exactly why it was left like that there for so long. Wonder if he did forget and the newspaper report prompted his memory? Funny!

Re: WHY DO WE VALUE OUR CARS SO LITTLE???

I know mate, I saw some ads like that for cars which you might say are 'stage one tuned' and are only rev2s or rev3s and were commanding €12,000 upwards!

Jeez!

I know where to sell my car if I get bored! Lol!

WHY DO WE VALUE OUR CARS SO LITTLE???

Even though I do believe by looking around that generally good MR2 tubbies start at £3-4k, I was very very surprised when I just happened to look in the classifieds of our german MR2 club counterparts. MY WORD!!! The cars over there are up for so much more than over here. No wonder more Eurobods are...

Re: Failed MOT today :(

Apart from teh welding, although the list may appear long, its really not THAT bad mate. Most you can do yourself and the other small bits shouldnt cost much wityh a combination of shopping around/used parts.

Best of luck mate,

Re: looks like mud when i remove the pressure cap

flushing with tap water isnt a problem. using tap water as a long term coolant is. best way is to jack the rear of the car up and open the radiator drain plug, and also the ones on the pipes by the fuel tank. once all coolant is out, put a hose pipe to the filler neck and run it through until whats...

Also, does anyone have any experience of an Exedy clutch on a 3SGTE?

Cheers

Re: Close shave! Nearly locked my keys in car with engine running!

Strange way to do things. My old Cliffrod activated and deactivated the anti-hijack when the ignition is turned on and off, but only when the door is closed otherwise it doesnt activate. So if you started the engine with the door open and then shut it, it wouldnt lock.

if you arent installing the new one in the old ones place it you can keep it and have 2. at the right rear of the engine bay, by the grey diagnosis box is a boost pressure sensor mounted to the rear firewall. there is a thin hose that comes from the side of the inlet manifold, through a white 1 way...
