Re: Black Rear Light Panel on White Car - yay or nay?

Keep it white!,

The black just doesnt suit a white 2 IMO, i debated fitting a carbon to mine but think it spoils the overall 'clean' look that a white 2 gives.

MR2 Rev 3 GT-S Turbo (1994)

I have owned this car for almost 3 years now and the time has come to move on onto something else. The car has been very well looked after since in my possesion, the previous owner brought the car over from japan himself as he spoke the language, I have some service history from japan but can't make...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] therostat stuck open??

I had the same symptons as you when i bought my turbo, replaced the thermostat and all was good, the thermostat i took out was clearly stuck open.

*Appartently* quite common on 3s-gte's

I used toyota's 4life coolant (£££'s)

Re: Whats the best 3 games you have ever played?

I knew I would open up a can of worms here lol. IMO newer games lack that certain charm and simple game play. I'm not doubting that they are very sophisticated and the graphics are incredible - I love how fifa 10 plays and gt5 looks, but i just prefer the older style of gameplay - take COD for examp...

Re: Thermostat/coolant removal

When i changed mine, i just unbolted the thermostat housing and whatever came out came out and i just topped it up and bled the system via the hoses method, can't remember how much was needed off the top of my head. I then replaced the radiator a month later so replaced all the coolant then anyway #...

Re: Whats the best 3 games you have ever played?

I think they're starting to realise that although i havnt played a lot of the recent big sellers, I was really disappointed with COD4 amongst others. The only newish games i play now are fifa, forza, day of defeat source and occasionly CS source. I did however have half an hour on street fighter IV ...

Don't usually post in here but saw this thread and got me thinking, in no particular order: Super Street Fighter II Turbo (SNES) - Ken FTW Counter-strike 1.6 (PC) - The best online game ever made IMO (apart from chu chu rocket :^o  ), oh the days of 56k with 250 ping lol Super Mario Kart (SNES)...

Re: leaking driveshaft boot an MOT failure?

Im pretty sure its only outside CV boots that can cause an MOT failure, if its leaking on the outside it should be a definate fail.

Might be worth double checking on MOT website.

Re: Cam Cover Cracked!

I took mine off not so long ago, if you have a search for cam/rocker cover you will come across this happening quite regulary.

The bolts should only be very lightly tightened, not sure of the specific torque for them but they are very low. I just did mine hand tight.

Re: Replacing all the discs & jacking the car up...

Umm, imo you should always use axle stands, you should never rely on a jack alone!

m4rcus - no problem with raising the car entirely and removing all wheels, just make sure its got axle stands at the appropriate points.

Re: help please (tiger seal)

IIRC theres some small ball type things in the end to absorb moisture or something like that, a normal applicator gun should work fine
