Will be using standard silver, but have read somewhere the original colour is more light grey rather than silver. But I am not to keen on the original colour. Here is a pic of an original '89 SE teardrop whee...

If anyone has a copy of the MR2 road text manual I'm fairly sure there is a couple of tests in there pitching the two cars against each other.

Re: Mk1b alloy wheel for paint match
The main wheel is a standard silver and the tear drops were gun metal grey Now I don't remember the codes off the top of my head. But even if it's not exactly as it left the factory I doubt anyone will notice the difference I know I am being fussy but I want to get it back to completely standard an...

Mk1b alloy wheel for paint match
All but given up on getting paint code or finding a set of mint OE mk 1b alloys. So I thought if that If I could find someone with an original colour spare in the north west or North Wales area I could do a colour match.
Don't suppose there is anyone who could help me is there?

MRK1b almost back on the road
Well after 8 years of ownership the last 3 of which she has been off the road, I just could not bring myself to sell her. So I plough some more money into her Ah well it's only money, you cannot take it with you. Cannot wait to get here back, should be the end of the month, although it has been &quo...

sound deadening under carpets
Should the mark 1 have anything between he carpets and the floor?
Will be taking all the interior out in the not too distant future and was thinking the carpet seems a little thin under foot.

Hi all. Not been on here for ages. My mk1 is looking a bit worse for wear having been sat on my dads drive for 18 months. Spent 600 getting her welded for the MOT with a view to getting rid. Trouble is, I walk past her every morning on the drive and I just cannot bring myself to sell her, I have rep...

Rev rev rev
Hi everyone. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My Mk1 is reving too high sometimes on idle. If i was to start the car and leave it to warm up on the drive then it would be fine. But if i have been driving if for a while the revs often wont come down below 2 - 2.5K (very annoying if...

Charging problems
Hello, all. I wonder if anyone would point me in the correct diagnostic direction please to sort out my charging problems. Noticed electrical smell some months ago coming from the back. Eventually the car would not charge. On closer inspection the alternator was burnt out. I had a spare in the garag...

Re: Free poly bushes?
When I did mine I had a spare set of suspension from a car I broke. I had these shotblasted and powder coated so once the old suspension came off it was just a quick rebolt job, I also got all new bolts. It took me and my son 3 hours to do the job and that included nipping down to S-Bits for anothe...

modifications include. Lightening and ballancing. Cams, porting and flowed. Ecu re mapped, 4 branch manifold and probably some other stuff i forgot. Machanic friend of mine has suggested that it might be supposed to run like that but i am not 100% convinced. Will try some higher octane fuel shortly ...
