[Mk2] [Turbo] MR2 TURBO APEXI PFC COMMANDER?
For those with a better memory than me,
Which other PFC commanders can be used with a rev 3 Apexi PFC, ie from a different car.
I have been offered one but have not been given an ID / Ser number. Dont want to mess my PFC up.
Thanks

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] 1/8" NPT fittings
The T in NPT means taper ie the threads are tapered from start of the thread to the end so that they fit when offered up and become tighter as they are screwed in causing a tight seal. Sounds like your adaptor has straight or uniform threads cut along the entire thread length, which means you cant g...

Remove the handle from a file which leaves the tang end free, tap the tang end into the broken nipple and then unscrew it.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] New exhaust manifold and downpipe
I bought a 3mm thick rev 3 tubular exhaust manifold from the net which looks remarkably like yours in the picture above (mine was returned to the company that sold it to me and later they re-advertised and sold for £98 on ebay). I discussed the issues that you mentioned above and more eventually it ...

Re: Stuck in low boost mode rev1 turbo
If you have a basically std spec engine but have fitted a walbro 255 pump, the engine will run way too rich and kill the power and bore wash the engine. I would suggest you either run a stand alone ecu to controll the extra fueling and do all the tuning stuff or return pump to std and then start loo...

Re: Kiefer
Update.
I have been informed that Kiefer has been posting on FB that he will sending a full refund on the duff headgasket and letting me keep it.
I can assure you all that to date (22 Jul 16) he has not.
Do not trust this guy in any way shape or form.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Valve Seals
I have not done it on one of these engines without doing some sort of head off strip / rebuild but I would expect it to be possible with the right set of tools, ie: Lever tool placed under cam or bolted into position in order to press on valve cap to remove retainers and same to re-fit again after s...

Re: Insurance Claim (car write off :().
I am sure there are insurance experts on this site but this is what I did when almost the same thing happened to me. 1. Insurance companies base payouts on several valuation methods one of which are what cars are sold for on Auto trader, you will need 3 adverts printed off with all ref numbers and d...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Do i need an aftermarket intake manifold?
I made 380 on a rev 1 engine with rev 1 T/B and inlet manifold, less TVIS flaps. Had different cams forged piston stand alone and turbo though. The truth is for the price of that magic inlet manifold you could probably convert the head to Rev 3 set up and gain 30bhp without trying. Thats basically w...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 1990 Turbo no boost!
If you've pressure tested all pipework, wastgate actuator, and intercooler without finding any air leaks, take the down pipe off and check the exhaust turbine is still attached. Also check the wastgate washer seats fully flat agaist the turbo housing.
